There is plenty of anime that created that managed to spawn dozens of episodes and separated into a few seasons. This usually happens when that anime has a long storyline, massive plot, or even just to gain revenue as much as possible. Some animes manage to offer the storyline up to leave a memory among fans and only need one season. For that, the writer already chose 10 best animes that only last for one season. What are those? 10. High School of the Dead
The trend of zombies in various entertainment media for the last few years also came to Japan with Highschool of the Dead. This anime tells about how a group of high school students must survive when the people of Japan turn into a zombie.
Even though it received a positive review due to its storyline and “artwork”, both anime and manga fans of the series, must accept the fact that this anime must end prematurely, as the creator, Daisuke Sato, passed away in 2017.
9. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is an anime that combines a highschool life (slice of life) and how the comedic situation of two main characters becomes an inspiration to make a manga. Even though it’s focusing on comedy, Nozaki-kun still gives a detailed description of working as a manga assistant, like drawing background and applying screentone, even showing the tools that will make the manga livelier.
8. Nichijou
Even though it titled 'Nichijou' which means 'a normal daily life', this anime tells about the adventure of 4 highschool students who are far more than normal. One of them is a robot, the headmaster loves to wrest with a deer, and there is also a teacher who has unrequited love. With 26 absurd episodes, even though it doesn’t make you feel nostalgic to go back to high school days, but you will miss doing stupid things with your friends back in the days.
7. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
If you love zombie survival and Steampunk genre similar to Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is the anime for you.
The story revolves around humans who are currently threatened by Kabane, a zombie with an iron heart. To survive from the nightmare, humans must hide in a walled station. Ikoma, a mechanist who is a master of making steam machines, got bit by a Kabane but still survive and making him a Kabaneri, a half-human - half Kabane. Since that day, he swears to eradicate Kabane from the face of the earth.
6. Shirobako
Shirobako becomes a series that describe the anime making process from the start to finish with every problem along the way. This anime is also told from various kinds of work, like production assistant, animator, voice talent, scriptwriter, to a 3D graphic designer.

5. Toradora
Toradora tells about two stubborn people who can fall in love with each other. Takasu Ryuuji with weird and creepy face meets with Aisaka Taiga, a temperament small woman. They interested in each other after a certain event. Already curious about their next encounter will be?
4. No Game No Life
No Game No Life has an unpredictable plot, catchy animation, awesome soundtrack, and deep character storytelling. You will be awed after watching its first episode.
Sora and Shiro are hikikomori (shut-in), brothers. They invited by god Tet move into a world where every rule decided by the players. Playing as the leaders of humans, Sora uses his expertise in deception and strategy whereas Shiro with his high-level calculation ability to defeat other race leaders. Their goal is only one, making the human race at the top of civilization.
3. Violet Evergarden
Another anime based on a light novel, Violet Evergarden series receives positive reviews by winning the main award on the fifth Kyoto Animation Award on three categorizes the best novel, best scenario, and best manga! This anime tells about an Auto Memory Doll, a 'robot doll' who previously created by a scientist to help his blind wife on writing a novel, but another company later lend the Auto Memory Doll that can do military works.
2. Hyouka
This slice of life anime tells about four high school kids with the main protagonist named Oreki. With his three friends, Oreki keeps on involved in a case where he is forced to solve it. The case began from one of their school clubs that already 45 years old.
The four working together to solve the mystery before their eyes. Every one of them has an important role in each episode.
1. Angel Beats
If Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu is an anime that will make you laugh, and Clannad is an anime that will make you cry, then Angel Beats is a combo of the two.
From the start to the middle, Angel Beats will make you laugh. Passing from that point, you will be touched until you cry. This anime is safe enough, but not so safe if you watch it during Ramadan.
