Kageyama Shigeo, better known as Mob, is alienated from his peers at school. Even though he looks like an average student, Mob possesses power supernatural abilities. With his power, he can easily be a psychic, helping people with their problems.

Mob isn’t always aware of how vast the potential and powerful his abilities are. Wanting a normal life, he always finds trouble along the way.

3. Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei is an anime series that combines magic and advanced technology. It follows the story of Shiba Tatsuya, a young man who’s a genius in the field of magic and technical knowledge. Along with his sister, Shiba Miyuki, Tatsuya meets other students who, later on, help them in numerous conflicts.

Aside from being geniuses, the Shibas also possess extraordinary powers -- in other words, they’re overpowered.

4. Noragami

Noragami follows Yato, a self-proclaimed “Delivery God”, who aspires of having millions of worshippers. With no shrine dedicated to his name, he spends his days doing odd jobs for 5 yen. 

His days seem bleak, especially for a deity. But his fate changes when he encounters a girl named Hiyori Iki, who saves Yato from a car accident, putting her own life at peril. Surprisingly, Hiyori survives, but the accident has caused her soul to detach from the body.

5. Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan

This series follows Saiki Kusuo, who’s born with supernatural abilities. His powers range from telepathy to psychokinesis, allowing him to get what he wants with ease.

This anime series focuses on the comedic moments that will make you laugh out loud due to Saiki’s and his friends’ silly actions.

6. Classroom of the Elite

This anime tells the story of Kiyotaka Ayanokouji who attends an elite high school, Koudo Ikusei Tokyo Metropolitan. The school gives a 100% guarantee for its graduates to enter big universities or go straight to work.

Unbeknownst to them, every student is closely supervised by the school. Students are judged based on their attitude and behavior -- students with good attitudes and grades will receive higher merit.

Since his friends in Class D didn’t receive high points, they are deemed to be the worst students. In order to stop it, they have to cooperate -- but Class D is full of students with issues and underachievers. How can Ayanokouji overcome this?

7. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu

The overpowered character in this anime series is Koro-sensei. Koro-sensei is a teacher whose body is shaped like a yellow octopus. Despite his adorable appearance, Koro-sensei possesses incredible powers as shown when he carved out a large chunk of the moon. He also plans to destroy the earth after teaching for a year. Koro-sensei can also travel at the speed of sound of 20 Mach, or about 24,696 kilometers per hour.

8. Nanatsu no Taizai

Nanatsu no Taizai follows the clash between the Holy Knights and the rebel group Seven Deadly Sins. The Seven Deadly Sins were previously parts of the Holy Knights who served for the kingdom but then were framed for murdering the Great Holy Knight, Zaratras.

The Seven Deadly Sins were also accused of plotting a coup, which made them fugitives and forced them to disband.

The MC of this series, Meliodas, does strike as someone who’s rather silly and looks weak, despite the enormous power he possesses.

9. Gintama

Gintama is a widely-popular anime mainly because of the comedic elements it has. However, aside from the comedy, there are lots of stunning fight scenes in Gintama. The main character of this anime, Gintoki Sakata, does look like a lazy simpleton, he’s actually incredibly powerful.

10. Ao no Exorcist

Ao no Exorcist is a series set in a world where humans live alongside demons. It tells the story of a seemingly-normal teenager named Rin Okumura. Rin’s life changes once he finds out that he’s actually the son of the most powerful demon, Satan.

When he uses his demonic powers, the seemingly-weak Rin Okumura can turn into a terrifyingly powerful creature.
