Wooloo is one of the best Pokemon introduced in the Galar region, in the Pokemon Sword and Shield to be more precise. Many fans were instantly fell in love with it due to its adorable shape and unique ability. Players can also catch these Pokemon quite easily early in the game and experience a battle with it. Here are some facts on Wooloo that you probably didn’t know!

1. Black Shiny Form

Many Pokemon have unique shiny forms. From a slight change in color to dramatic changes. Wooloo is the latter kind of Pokemon who has a distinctive shiny form. In its shiny form, this Pokemon dons black wool.

There are several shiny forms of Gen 8 Pokemon that you need to catch, especially this one, due to its special difference. Funnily enough, not so many players know that Wooloo has a black shiny form. Is it because of its very-low spawn rate?

2. Categorized As Fast Pokemon

Despite its normal look of an ordinary sheep who doesn’t have high Speed, Wooloo is actually a speedy Pokemon outside of battle. Players can see it roaming around by rolling on its back, not realizing how fast they are in this form.

Players who are into cute, adorable Pokemon with unique abilities should really consider catching Wooloo since it has both of those. Its ability to roll is one of the best abilities in the game. It reminds us of Miltank can also roll around.

3. It Wool Can Grow Longer

The wool on this sheep can get longer, to a point that it’s impossible for this Pokemon to move. If that happens, then you’d need to shave it, or it will just continue to be a lump of fleece. Yet it’d sure look even more adorable as a lump of fleece, don’t you think!

4. Unexpectedly Potent Moveset

Usually, the Pokemon that the trainers can catch early in the game have rather weak movesets, yet it’s not the case for Wooloo. Despite only having Normal-type moves, but they are quite powerful ones, such as Double-Edge and Takedown.

So, it’s almost a no-brainer for any trainer to catch this Pokemon early. Not just because of its adorable looks, but it can also be very useful in battles against wild Pokemon or even Gym Battles.

5. Its Name Derives From the Word Wool

Just by looking at its name, you could already make a guess that “Wooloo” derives from the word “wool”. Just by looking or hearing its name, one could guess that it’s a sheep-like Pokemon without ever having to encounter it first. If you’re looking for a Pokemon with adorable name and shape, definitely get this one.

6. Gender Chance of 50/50

Gender chance or the gender ratio is one of the features in Pokemon Sword and Shield. The gender chance of Wooloo is 50/50. But, regardless of their gender, trainers can still encounter them easily in the wild.

There’s no apparent stat difference between a male or a female. But if you’re looking for a cuter Wooloo, go find the female ones.

7. Its Wool Grows Back in 3 Months

It’s been mentioned before that the wool on Wooloo can get super long that it requires trimming. Then, how long does it take before it needs another trimming? Three months. May trainers might love this fact since it’s the wool that makes Wooloo so exceptionally cute.

If Pokemon is a thing in the real world, then these sheep would definitely be the cutest animals in the world. People would also make use of its warm and fuzzy wool for clothing and other stuff. Not just cute, but also useful for many.

8. Inspired by Cottonball

With the way it rolls, many fans believe that the design of this Pokemon is inspired by a cotton ball. It makes sense though since its shape resembles a cotton ball. But in your opinion, does it look more like a cotton ball or cotton candy?

9. Balanced Stats

For a Pokemon like Wooloo who has a fast movement, trainers could easily assume that it boasts high Speed. Yet his stats look so evenly balanced. It’s not a bad nor a good thing, but many players actually expect it to have high Speed.

Perhaps when it has another form in another region, its stats will be different from this one. Yup, perhaps its Speed or Attack will be its highest stats. However, while it has balanced stats, trainers wouldn’t give much to care. The most important thing is that it is adorable.

10. Immune to Fall Damage

Falling from a certain height has become a fatal issue for most creatures in real-life and the Pokemon universe. However, Wooloo is immune to fall damage as long as it has its thick wool to absorb the shock from the impact.

It’s also useful in battle when a Flying-type Pokemon brings it up and drops it. It’s also another reason for trainers to have Wooloo.

Those were some facts on Wooloo that you probably didn’t know in Pokemon Sword and Shield. If you find this fascinating, feel free to share it with your pals. And stick around for other anime and gaming discussions on DuniaGames!
