No one dared to approach the most vicious bald man in the wrestling industry because he was an invincible figure in multiple battles. He liked to drink beer, or pour it on whoever he wanted. He even dared to defy orders from the boss of the WWE company that hired him, Vince McMahon.

1. He Got the Inspiration for His Stage name When Drinking a Tea

Stone Cold Steve Austin was born Steve Anderson in Victoria, Texas on December 18, 1964. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Ken Williams. Since he never knew his real father, he ended up using the name Williams as his last name. Steve grew up in Edna, Texas, as part of a large family.

Austin's wrestling name is also constantly changing to suit his ever-evolving gimmick. While wrestling at the United States Wrestling Association, Austin goes by the name Stunning Steve Austin.

The inspiration for the name Stone Cold was born from a cup of tea after his ex-wife, Jeannie Clark, noticed Austin didn't drink his tea right away. Jeannie said, "You'd better drink your tea before it gets stone cold.

And then those words became a legendary name in the world of WWE wrestling. In December 2007, Stone Cold officially changed his real name Steven Williams to his wrestling name, Steve Austin.

2. A WWE Wrestler Known to Drink Beer Without Getting Drunk

Stone Cold Steve Austin drank his first beer at the age of 14. His favorite brand has always been Budweiser and he will drink it at every WWE show. In Manitoba, Canada, a beer company introduced a beer called Stone Cold in honor of Steve Austin's iconic gimmick.

When he wins a wrestling match, Stone Cold stands in the corner of the ring drinking the beer he got from the crowd. Strangely though he was often seen drinking those cans of beer, he was never seen drunk.

3. WCW had Fired Him

The first big moment in Steve Austin's Stone Cold wrestling career came when he signed with WCW (World Championship Wrestling). He forms a duet wrestling alliance with "Flyin" Brian Pillman. As the duo Hollywood Blonds, they won the World Tag Team Championship in 1993. Austin also won the United States championship held by WCW in 1993.

In 1994, he tore his triceps while he was wrestling in Japan and later he was fired by WCW instead. The dismissal will not be easily forgotten. After wrestling in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), Austin signed a contract with WWE's forerunner, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in late 1995.

4. He has Been Married Four Times and has Three Daughters

Stone Cold Steve Austin's first wife was his high school and college girlfriend named Kathryn Burrhus. They married on November 24, 1990 but Austin was in a relationship again with Jeannie Clark (Lady Blossom). His marriage to Burrhus ended on August 7, 1992. Austin and Clark were married on December 18, 1992. They have two daughters, Stephanie who was born in 1992, and Cassidy who was born in 1996.

Steve's daughter, Cassidy, lives with her mother in England. She also adopted Jade, Clark's daughter with her ex-husband, Chris Adams. Austin and Clark divorced on 10 May 1999 and their daughter lives in England with Clark. Jade lives in the United States with her husband and son.

On September 13, 2000, Austin married a WWE Diva named Debra Marshall. However, they divorced after a case of domestic violence. Stone Cold is currently married to Kristen Austin, whom he married in 2009.

5. He Once Worked at a Loading Dock

Stone Cold Steve Austin came close to earning a degree in physical education. But he failed a few semesters and then chose to drop out of college. He started working as a loading dock porter to earn a living.

Some time later, the world of professional wrestling caught Austin's attention to start a career in that field. In 1989, he joined Chris Adam's wrestling school in Dallas, Texas and upon graduation, joined the United States Wrestling Association. In 1990 he appeared in his first wrestling match.

6. His Domestic Violence Rumor with WWE Diva Debra Is Proven True

Two years after marrying WWE Diva Debra Marshall, Stone Cold Steve Austin was involved in a domestic violence case on June 15, 2002. Police were called to Austin and Debra's residence in San Antonio, Texas where police found a hysterical Debra with bruises. Austin had left the house and was asked by the police not to return there.

On August 14, 2002, Austin was arrested and charged with domestic violence. Debra later claimed that Austin was on steroid and this incident was the result of a side effect.

Austin filed for divorce from Debra on July 22, 2002 and the divorce was finalized on February 5, 2003. On June 29, 2007, Debra told Fox News that Austin hit her three times. Debra also stated that WWE gave her a gag order so she wouldn't reveal that Stone Cold hit her. The reason is because the disclosure would be detrimental to WWE.

7. His First Acting Gig is in Nash Bridges

After achieving unparalleled success in the world of wrestling, Stone Cold Steve Austin pursued a career in acting. His first role took place between 1998 and 1999. During that time he appeared in several episodes of the TV series Nash Bridges as Jake Cage, a rebel cop. Austin's presence helped the TV show's ratings get better.

After retiring from WWE, Austin has starred in several films including 2007's The Condemned. It was his first film in a leading role. Austin is also an antagonist in the films The Longest Yard and The Expendables.

8. Started as The Ringmaster in WWE 

All the popular wrestlers early in their career in WWE used a different stage name before becoming a legend. Triple H was once The Connecticut Blueblood. The Rock originally went by the name Rocky Maivia. Stone Cold Steve Austin joins WWE as The Ringmaster managed by Ted DiBiase.

9. The Rock, Goldberg, and Mick Foley are His Best Friend

Ironically, Stone Cold Steve Austin's best friend is none other than The Rock, a wrestler who becomes Austin's rival. His three friends in the world of wrestling are The Rock, Bill Goldberg and Mick Foley.

Of the three closest friends, Austin got the most intense competition scenario with The Rock. Their rivalry began when Austin managed to defend his Intercontinental title against Rocky Maivia. In 1999, Austin again clashed with The Rock after Vince McMahon removed Austin from the Royal Rumble.

The Rattlesnake won his third WWE championship from The Great One when Austin defeated The Rock at WrestleMania XV. In the years that followed, the two would compete fiercely for WWE supremacy. But outside the ring, their friendship is very deep.

10. Fought WWE Boss Vince McMahon, Legendary Boxer Mike Tyson, and Beat Up Donald Trump on the Ring

Stone Cold Steve Austin is the greatest wrestler in history who braved the strongest men, both physically and in power. His feud with the boss of the WWE company named Vince McMahon became something very exciting and attracted the attention of many viewers. Austin with his sloppy behavior dared to fight the big boss of the owner of the company that hired him.
