This antagonistic character usually becomes the counterpart of the protagonist and also the source of conflict in the story. 4. Vladimir Makarov - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 

In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Vladimir Makarov is a terrorist who thinks that human life is worthless. In his ambition, Makarov willingly killed hundreds of innocent lives just to fulfill his twisted desire. It was all done to cause a war between America and Russia.

5. Senator Armstrong - Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 

If you have played Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, then you are familiar with Senator Steven Armstrong. He owns a private military company where he exploits children to become child soldiers and instigate America to launch an attack on the Middle East. Armstrong did that to topple the American government and start his reign as a dictator.

6. Handsome Jack - Borderlands 2

Handsome Jack is the best antagonist in Borderlands 2. He takes over the Hyperion and declares himself as the Dictator of Pandora and takes all the profit to find The Vault.

Initially, Ocelot was a good man that tried to help humanity. But it all changes when he lost one of his arms in the first Metal Gear Solid. Although he obtained the arm of Liquid Snake, the body part changed Ocelot into a cold-blooded evil character. Liquid Ocelot only has one mission - finding and destroying The Patriots.
