Along with The Game Awards 2020 event, Disney announced new information about the films and series that will appear in Disney+ via The Walt Disney Company's 2020 Investor Day. in the event, Lucasfilm executive alongside Disney shares some information about the Star Wars project that will soon put on production, because the event focuses on the contents that will be presented to Disney+ subscribers.

Star Wars fans are curious about the projects Disney prepared for Disney+. These are the 10 Star Wars projects confirmed by Disney:

1. Star Wars: The Rangers of the New Republic 

Star Wars: The Rangers of the New Republic is a spin-off of The Mandalorian, set within the same timeline and is connected. The series is slated to be released at the end of 2021.

2. Star Wars: Ahsoka

Like Star Wars: The Rangers of the New Republic, Star Wars: Ahsoka is also a spin-off of The Mandalorian. The series is centered on the adventure of a Jedi named Ashoka that is played by Rosario Dawson.

3. Star Wars: Andor

Star Wars: Andor will be the sequel of Star Wars: Rogue One that will premiere in 2022. The series will focus on the adventure of Cassian Andor, one of the Rebellions that appeared in Rogue One.

4. Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Original Series

Next is Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Original Series a series about the legendary Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi for the series. The series will begin filming in January 2021.

5. Star Wars: The Bad Batch

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is an animated series that marks the final stage of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The series is about a group of Empire force named The Bad batch tasked with killing the Republic forces. In the short trailer, we also see Fennec Shand, a character that appears in The Mandalorian.

6. Star Wars: Visions

Star Wars: Visions will be a short animated series that is still mysterious. This short animated series will be available on Disney+ next year and will be worked on by the best anime creator from Japan.

7. Star Wars: Lando

Star Wars: Lando will tell use the story of young Lando Calrissian played by Donald Glover. Previously, Glover also appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story that was released in 2018. Now he will have his own series exclusive on Disney+. 

8. Star Wars: The Acolyte

Star Wars: The Acolyte is a series worked on by the creator of Russian Doll, Leslye Headland. The series is described as a “mystery-thriller” that will take Star Wars fans to see the secret that shrouds the galaxy and the power of the dark side that appears at the end of the High Republic era.

9. Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

Director Patty Jenkins surprises by confirming that she will direct a new Star Wars film titled Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. Not much information in the short video, but the film is slated to be released in 2023.

10. Star Wars: A Droid Story

Droid is a big part of the Star Wars universe for years. Knowing this, Disney planned to create an animated series about a new droid led by two legendary droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO. Sadly, the release date is not yet announced.
