Just like other games that were released hastily, GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is also full of bugs and glitches. Some of these bugs/glitches are game-breaking, while some others are just fun to look at... but also weird. On this occasion, I’d like to give you a list of some of the bugs in GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, which was rarely, or even couldn’t be, found in the classic versions.

I’ve also made a compilation video of these bugs. So, if you want to watch these bugs, just scroll down to the end of this article.

1. A Transparent Bridge

The transparent bridge is the first bug that was found in GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition and appeared on the internet. Initially, the bug was thought to be an early access bug as the game was released on PS5 a day early without getting the day-one patch. However, the bug can still be found in the PC version, even after Rockstar pulled the game from players’ libraries recently.

2. Floating Over the Water

Near the Back O Beyond lake, there’s a stream of water that flows into the sea with some big rocks standing in the middle of the river. If you swim in this river the big rocks, CJ will start to float over the water.

3. Floating Tommy

In GTA Vice City, in the southern part of Ocean Beach, there’s a huge rock. If you bring an NPC to this spot, some of them will drown and die on the spot.

however, if you take Tommy Vercetti to this spot, he will float above the rock.

4. Police Stops from Pursuing

Still in the same spot, if you take a 1-Star police officer to this area, the police will stop attacking Tommy Vercetti. He will just stand there, shouting “Hey, get back here”. Even if Tommy Vercetti is standing right in front of him.

5. Ladder Glitch

It’s common knowledge that CJ cannot climb ladders in the game. In GTA San Andreas: The Definitive Edition, he still can’t climb ladders, but, if CJ jumps in front of a standing ladder, he will jump much higher. In fact, he can almost reach the top of an electric pole.

6. A Staring Contest with CJ

If you’re ready for an intense staring contest, now you have a worthy opponent: Carl Johnson. There’s a bug, where CJ’s face will take the entire screen. To do so, get on a Quad Bike or a Hydra, go to first-person camera perspective, look behind and you’ll see CJ staring at you.

7. Underwater Wall

Most new GTA players must have been trying to get to the N mark on the map, not knowing that it’s just to indicate the north side of the map. In the classic version of GTA San Andreas, a streamer spent a dozen hours on their live stream trying to reach the N.

In GTA San Andreas: The Definitive Edition, you won’t be able to do so. Now, the map has a border. And, if you still try to get through the border, you’ll be instantly taken back to the city. Now, if you try to dive your way out of the border, you’ll see a wall in the water. This wall can actually be penetrated. Yet after doing so, you’re game will look different and so will the color of the ocean floor.

8. Flying NPC Cars

Sometimes, you’ll encounter this bug when using a jetpack in San Fierro, on the Gant Bridge to be more exact. You’ll see some cars floating in the air. You can even see them “taking off” from the road.

9. Invisible Walls...on Roads

This bug is probably the most annoying on this list, as it occurs in several spots on the map. I encountered this bug on a bridge in GTA III (left picture), and the Redditor, The_Pheex (right picture) also encountered one when they’re driving in GTA San Andreas.

10. Indoor Rain

The rain in GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition isn’t just annoying because it’s too hard it limits your vision. But the rain also happens indoor in this game. For example, in Big Smoke’s garage, under the pier of Santa Maria Beach, and other spots, you may encounter indoor rain.

11. NPCs Die Upon Entering the Train

GTA 3: The Definitive Edition is not free from bugs. Aside from the invisible walls, NPCs in GTA 3 also behave strangely sometimes. Upon entering the train, NPCs will die instantly. But, on the brighter side, Claude can benefit from this as he can take the money from the dead NPCs.

So, those were some of the bugs that I and most people in the GTA community have encountered. Have you played GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition? Have you encountered game-breaking bugs? Let us know in the comments below!

And, as I’ve mentioned before, here’s the compilation video of the bugs. Hope you enjoy it!
