Indonesia’s Game Day (HARGAI) is celebrated every 8 August. The day is meant for Indonesia gamers to participate, support, and push the game industry in Indonesia. Celebrating HARGAI 2020, Dunia Games will share the list of Indonesia game developers whose works are recognized globally. Who are they? Read the full list below.

1. Agate International 

Agate was established in 2009 and the small developer has grown into the biggest game developers in Indonesia. Started as a game developer, now Agate also works as a publisher with more than 200 staff in Bandung. One of the popular works by Agate is Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story that was released on Steam last 2018.

2. TouchTen Games

Besides Agate, TouchTen Games is the other famed Indonesian game developer. The developer based in Jakarta has released a number of popular games such as Warung Chain and Fist of Rage.

3. Lentera Studio

Lentera Studio may be a new game developer, but their game, ghost Parade, is recognized globally. Published by Aksys Games, Ghost Parade is available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

4. Digital Happiness

Horror game fans are familiar with DreadOut. The game developed by Digital Happiness shakes the gaming industry thanks to its unique gameplay. The game is so popular that even PewDiePie tried playing the game. After the success of the first DreadOut, Digital Happiness released the sequel game that is more fun and challenging.

5. Vifth Floor

Japan is not the only country with a Visual Novel game genre that presents great artwork and story. Indonesia also has it! The game developed by Vifth Floor presents stunning artwork, story, and soundtrack. Just Deserts combines dating simulator elements with alien invasion that makes the game intriguing and anti-mainstream.

Not just in Indonesia, Just Deserts records a positive sale record and response internationally.

6. Toge Productions

Toge Productions was established in 2009. The studio initially only make Flash games and then expands their wing to develop games at the international market for PC and consoles. Toge Productions’ latest work is titled Coffe Talk and the game is available on Steam and it attracts the international audience.

7. Ozysoft Studio

Ozysoft Studio is the developer behind the successful Pulang: Insanity. Ozysoft Studio is one of the Indonesia game developers that participated in Archipelageek Gamescom 2019 in Cologne, Germany 20-24 August 2019.

8. StoryTale Studios

StoryTale Studios rose to fame after releasing a horror game titled Pamali. The game released last year attracted the international horror game fans. Even famous gaming YouTuber played the game.

9. Critical Forge

Critical Forge is a new Indonesian game developer. Still, the international crowd loves their game. Critical Forge released  Forged of Blood, an RPG tactical strategy game.

10. Mojiken Studio

Mojiken Studio is quite well-known in the Indonesian gaming community. The developer has released several popular games such as She and the Light Bearer/ the visual novel game is available on Steam.

11. Kidalang Studio

Kidalang Studio was established in 2015. The developer released a lot of famous works such as An Octave Higher and Legend of Everything.

12. Mintsphere

Mintsphere is a developer based in Jakarta and has released an action-RPG game titled Fallen Legion. The game is available for PC, PS4, PS Vita, and Nintendo Switch. Besides developing games, Mintsphere also created a VTuber channel named Mintchan.

13. GameChanger Studio

GameChanger Studio is the game developer that Indonesians are familiar with. This game developer is established by Gamreng Games to release cool games such as My Lovely Daughter that was released in 2018 under Toge Production.

14. Namaapa 

Namaapa is an Indonesian game developer that released a game titled Ciel Fledge: A Daughter Raising Simulator. As the name suggests, players will raise a girl until she reached adulthood. So it’s not surprising to see the game attracts the attention of gamers.

15. 4Happy Studio

4happy Studio is a game developer based in Batam, Riau. Although the studio is fairly new, the local game developer has high hopes. They just announced their mainstay horror game titled Who is He: Let Me Out.
