Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has just released a major patch update on November 5, 2025, bringing a wave of significant changes across multiple heroes. As always, every patch comes with surprises—some heroes have been nerfed, while others have suddenly risen to the top thanks to major buffs. It’s no surprise that the community has been buzzing about which heroes have become the new OP picks in MLBB after this update.

This time, Moonton seemed to have focused on enhancing the gameplay experience in the EXP Lane and increasing the effectiveness of fighter heroes in the mid to late game. Several classic heroes that had faded from the spotlight have been given a new lease on life through reworks and substantial buffs, potentially shifting the meta in a major way.

Among all the adjustments, three names have stood out the most: Hilda, Balmond, and Martis. Each of these heroes has received massive improvements in damage, control, and combat efficiency. Based on the official patch notes, they have become more flexible and deadlier in various in-game situations.

With these buffs in place, many analysts believe that both the EXP Lane and Jungle meta are about to change drastically. To understand why, here’s a complete breakdown of the Top 3 OP MLBB Heroes that have risen sharply thanks to the latest update.

1. Hilda — Roamer and EXP Lane Tanky Initiator

Hilda has received one of the biggest overhauls in this patch. Previously known for being weak in the late game and overly reliant on bushes to trigger her passive, she has now returned as a real threat—both as a roamer and an EXP Laner.

Her new passive allows her next basic attack after entering a bush to deal +70% Total Physical Attack damage and reduce the enemy’s movement speed by 40% for 3 seconds. Even enemies behind the main target now receive additional splash damage. This change makes Hilda much more effective at zoning and initiating fights.

Her first skill has also been updated—it now grants up to 60% movement speed and a shield worth 10–20% of her Max HP for 3 seconds. This improvement makes Hilda far more durable during team fights without having to constantly rely on bushes. As a roamer, she can now initiate more confidently, with better mobility and sustain.

With these adjustments, Hilda has become a versatile pick for two roles—EXP Lane for players who want to dominate early trades, or roamer for those who prefer an aggressive, fast-paced playstyle.

2. Balmond — Dominant in Both Jungle and EXP Lane

Balmond has once again emerged as one of the most versatile heroes in the latest patch. After spending several seasons outside the meta, he has now received a significant buff that has made him extremely strong in two positions—Jungle and EXP Lane.

His first skill now has a new effect that reduces the enemy’s Physical Defense by up to 40% for 3 seconds with every hit. This adjustment provides massive benefits in team fights, as it leaves opponents more vulnerable to follow-up attacks—especially from the team’s primary damage dealers. In addition, the slow effect has been rebalanced to 40% for 3 seconds (previously 60% for 2 seconds), providing a longer window for allies to capitalize on it.

The cooldown has also been shortened, allowing Balmond to rotate his skills more frequently in extended battles. These improvements make him extremely effective as both a high-sustain jungler and an EXP Laner capable of fast clearing and strong dueling potential.

As a jungler, Balmond has become an aggressive choice for controlling objectives, with his natural lifesteal and deadly ultimate—Lethal Counter—that can secure Lords or Turtles with pinpoint accuracy.

3. Martis — The Most Terrifying Jungler After the Update

If there’s one hero who has truly become a monster in this patch, it’s Martis. The fighter hero has grown even more lethal in the jungler role, thanks to the massive damage increase in both his passive and ultimate.

Martis’s passive now grants bonus damage at full stacks equal to 8 × Hero Level (previously 6 × Hero Level), making his attacks much more devastating in the mid to late game. His ultimate has also been enhanced to 700–1100 (+120% Total Physical Attack) and features a new visual effect called Sky Piercer, which highlights his target more clearly.

This rework has turned Martis into not only a deadly executioner but also a tempo-controlling jungler. He can initiate team fights, sweep through enemies with his AoE skills, and finish them off with consecutive ultimate strikes. With his natural mobility and crowd control, Martis has become a nightmare for opponents and a dream pick for aggressive players.

Impact on the Current Meta

The major buffs for Hilda, Balmond, and Martis have significantly reshaped the MLBB meta. Fighter heroes with strong sustain and consistent damage have once again taken the spotlight, especially during the early and mid-game phases. The new meta favors a faster, more aggressive tempo, where map control and objective pressure are prioritized from the very start.

  • Hilda now serves as a flexible option for teams needing a durable roamer or secondary tank.

  • Balmond can excel in dual roles—pushing the EXP Lane efficiently or farming rapidly as a jungler.

  • Martis stands out as one of the most fearsome junglers, capable of snowballing with incredible momentum.

Overall, the November 5, 2025 patch proves that Moonton aims to revive classic fighters by giving them impactful new roles. With the right build and adaptation, these three heroes have earned their place among the Top 3 OP MLBB Heroes ready to dominate the Land of Dawn.
