She shared her experience behind the wide-eyed scene featured at the beginning of the trailer. Acha explained that she received special direction from the Director of Photography, Hani, to display a truly convincing expression of anxiety.

“My cameraman, Mas Hani, the Director of Photography, told me, ‘Acha, this scene is the first nine minutes. You have to make sure that you open your eyes because I want to look through them. Your inner turmoil should be visible to the audience,’” Acha revealed.

Due to this demanding scene, Acha had to deeply immerse herself in feelings of distress and pressure, which left a psychological impact after filming. This shows her dedication to portraying the character of Azizah.

2. The Filming Set Was Built from Scratch

One of the unique aspects of Qodrat 2 is that the filming locations were not real places but were constructed entirely from scratch. Acha revealed that the production team rented three large warehouses, which were then transformed into various sets, including a prison, tunnels, rooms, and even a cave.

“The locations and production design were built from scratch. The caves, tunnels, and rooms—everything was custom-made,” said Acha.

The warehouses used for the set construction were massive, estimated to be around 1,000 square meters.

This allowed the production team to create an atmosphere that perfectly matched the story’s needs while also providing freedom in setting up lighting and visual effects for maximum impact.

3. One Scene Took 2 Hours to Film

At the end of the Qodrat 2 trailer, there is a scene where Azizah, played by Acha Septriasa, screams out Qodrat’s name. This scene turned out to be exhausting to film, as Acha had to repeat the scream six times, taking nearly two hours to complete.

“There were so many takes. I got frustrated with that scene because I had to keep repeating it. For me, that scene required multiple takes because I wasn’t looking up. That was my mistake too,” Acha admitted.

Filming this scene lasted until 12:30 AM. Imagine having to continuously scream Qodrat’s name with high emotional intensity in the middle of the night. This proves Acha’s commitment to delivering the best performance possible.
