Some anime titles, especially the ones in the fantasy genre, have a storyline where the main character makes great effort to save humanity from the threats of monsters or evil entities.

If you are an anime fan, you’d probably knew about the struggle that some of these characters have to go through to save their friends or country from invading powers, right?

Who are the anime characters who perform selfless-acts to fight for freedom? Well, without further ado, let’s just get straight into it!

1. Eren Jaeger - Shingeki no Kyojin

First off, let’s start with Eren Jaeger of Shingeki no Kyojin. If you have watched this anime, then you must already be familiar with the name Eren since he’s an iconic character in the series.

From the very beginning, Eren has much hatred toward the Titans, he even dreams of slaughtering all of the Titans outside the wall.

Up until now, Eren’s dream of annihilating the Titans is still playing in his mind, he was even willing to become a hideous Titan to free the Eldians from the Marleyans’ occupation.

Eren is even willing to get killed or destroy the entire world so that his friends can live in peace forever.

2. Emma - Yakusoku no Neverland

Next, we have Emma from the Yakusoku no Neverland series. This anime has a storyline that somewhat similar to Shingeki no Kyojin’s, where humans are locked up in a place under the guise of an orphanage and serves as food for the demons.

Feeling that there’s something odd with the place, Emma plans to escape from the orphanage which is actually a human farm.

After spending some time to devise the perfect plan, Emma and her friends in the orphanage escape from the living hell.

3. Hyakuya Yuichiro - Owari no Seraph

Owari no Seraph is an anime that tells the story of a world infested by the vampires. 

Hyakuya Yuichiro is one of the victims of the vampire attack and lost his family members.

Since then, Hyakuya Yuichiro has a burning desire to take revenge on the vampires by annihilating them so that humans can live in peace.

4. Kirigaya Kazuto - Sword Art Online

Last but not least, we got Kirigaya Kazuto, commonly known as Kirito from Sword Art Online series.

Although he didn’t fight for humanity from the threats of monsters like the other anime series mentioned above, Kirito pretty much saved all of the players trapped in Sword Art Online.

Well, those were the four anime characters who fight for humanity to bring peace in their universes.
