Boruto Episode 160, as a part of the Kara Actuation Arc, introduces the Land of Haze or Kasumi no Kuni. Neighboring the Land of Silence filled with nuke-nin or runaway ninja, according to information from Fifth Raikage’s Assistant Omoi, this country's shinobi were once a group of cunning and dangerous troops.

Land of Haze ninjas once killed one of Kumogakure's leaders using secret deadly poisons. And it turns out their specialty is not just poison. The ninjas of the Land of Haze also know a number of deadly kinjutsu or forbidden techniques! The Four Haze Quadruplets used these jutsu in order to carry out their duties, even though they had to pay for it with their own lives.

1. Kasumi Ninpou: Kinjutsu: Kakuriyo Kaimon

  • User: Yoruga.

Teleportation kinjutsu. When using this kinjutsu, the user conjures up a gate of darkness. Anyone who enters through the gate will be sent to any location the user wants. This technique is even capable of breaking through various kinds of barrier ninjutsu that should not be easily penetrated by ordinary means. However, at the same time when this kinjutsu is active, the user will suddenly age very quickly until he finally dies in a wrinkled state. It was as if his age was sucked away by this forbidden technique.

In English, this jutsu is also known as Haze Ninja Art: Forbidden Technique: Afterlife Opening Gate.

2. Kasumi Ninpou: Kinjutsu: Jigoku Messatsu

  • User: Hiruga.

Through this technique the user will summon quicksand-like mud around his position. Everyone who sets their foot and is trapped in the mud will sink to the unseen bottom. If they tried to approach the user of this jutsu, their bodies would sink even faster instead. The user can also form tendrils of mud to hold the victims down or defend themselves.

However, the biggest weakness of this technique is that the user will also be sucked in by the mud, and once he is killed, this jutsu will end as well. But as long as the technique user is alive he can cancel this technique whenever he wants. So even though it's like a double-edged sword, this technique is quite effective for outwitting and stopping opponents’ movement while friendlies are running away.

In English, this jutsu is also known as Haze Ninja Art: Forbidden Technique: Hellish Obliteration.

3. Kasumi Ninpou: Kinjutsu: Kagerou Ichigo

  • User: Yuga.

Once the user of this technique casts the necessary hand seals to activate the kinjutsu, he automatically sacrifices his life and turns his body into a red gemstone. Then this stone will merge with a spectre-like creature and also create a barrier around it.

This mysterious creature is extremely tough, able to withstand chakra attacks, move very quickly, and absorb chakra from any living thing that enters the barrier area to heal any damaged body parts. The only way to defeat and stop this jutsu is to destroy the red gemstone on its chest. Like the previous jutsu this technique is useful to stop an enemy's track and waste their precious time.

In English, this jutsu is also known as Haze Ninja Art: Forbidden Technique: Ephemeral Life.

4. Kasumi Ninpou: Kinjutsu: Higanbana

  • User: Asaka.

Kinjutsu created as a suicide attack while destroying the target without any trace. The user grips the target's body and then they both will be enveloped in a red-hot energy that looks just like blazing flames. Despite having great destructive power, unfortunately, if the opponent had an extraordinarily great defensive ability then they could still save themselves from this technique.

In English, this jutsu is also known as Haze Ninja Art: Forbidden Technique: Red Spider Lily. Although it does not sound as "cool" as the other three jutsu, red spider lilies or amaryllis flowers are often seen in cemeteries and according to ancient Buddhist records they can guide the deceased through samsara or the cycle of reincarnation.
