In Captain Tsubasa series, Drive Shot is the hardest technique to master. Only a genius can master this technique. Drive Shot kick will make the ball that shot from afar going up and then falling towards the goal.

Aside from Tsubasa Ozora who mastered this technique due to the clue from Roberto Hongo’s notebook, there are a few others who also mastered this technique. Who are they? Take a look!

1. Nobuyuki Yumikura

Yumikura is an ex-player of Real Japan 11 who now serves as the captain of Real Japan 7 (RJ7). Similar to Tsubasa Ozora, he shares the same player number (10) and plays as an attacking midfielder. Alongside other RJ7 players, Yumikura is asked by coach Gamo to compete against the Japan Junior Youth team. 

On the day of the match, Yumikura manages to score one goal with his Drive Shot. Yumikura also says that he is more suitable to replace Tsubasa Ozora as the attacking midfielder as well as the captain of the Japan Junior team.

2. Misugi Jun

Even though he doesn’t have prime health due to the heart disease he hampered in his early career, Misugi is one of the genius players that might surpass Tsubasa. Since his match against Tsubasa, Misugi has already shown his abilities in controlling the ball. Aside from that, Misugi also a genius playmaker.

At first, Misugi was a central midfielder, but after that, he could be placed on other positions like defender or attacker. During the match against the France team at the Junior Youth International Championship, Misugi who sits on the substitutions’ seat, finally put on the field by coach Mikami. On the match, he manages to score one goal to the France Team with his Drive Shot.

3. Juan Diaz

Diaz is a genius player as well as the captain of Argentina Junior Youth. This genius soccer player has excellent teamwork with Pascal, his childhood friend who also a player on the same team he’s in.

When facing Japan Junior Youth at Junior Youth International Championship, Diaz is seen using Drive Shot that able to score one point, also passing Wakashimazu’s defense. He uses that technique to show that he’s better than Tsubasa.

4. Carlos Santana

Santana is one fo the main rivals of Tsubasa that he met when he’s playing at Sao Paulo. Santana who at that time playing at Flamengo FC is called “Soccer Robot” and it feels like he’s only lives for soccer and doesn’t have emotion. Santana also a genius who can imitate various techniques executed by his opponents.

He can imitate Flying Drive Shot that was executed by Tsubasa after seeing it once. If Tsubasa uses his Drive Shot, surely Santana can also do so easily. When he’s playing at the World Cup, Santana can imitate various techniques that are executed by his opponents.
