According to mythology, Ferryman is an entity that is tasked to escort recently deceased souls walking through the Styx River. This entity is featured in ‘Annabelle Comes Home’ the movie which is one of the spin-offs of The Conjuring.

This entity has a habit of sticking coins over recently deceased souls' eyes. This one entity emerged after Annabelle released a lot of demons at the Warrens Occult Museum.

With a huge number of victims, The Ferryman is currently one of the biggest threats in the Conjuring universe.

2. The Crooked Man

Another form of Valak the demon is The Crooked Man. This entity has a very horrible characteristic, they’re having pale skin, thin, wearing a purple suit, ready to terrorize whoever.

This entity has the ability to transform into any person. He once disguised himself as a dog to hunt down his victims. According to some information, this one entity is so strong that it has its own story, but this information is only a rumor.

3. Bathsheba Sherman

Bethsheba Sherman is the main antagonist of the first movie of The Conjuring. She was a demon cult who sacrificed her own baby for the devil. Bathseheba herself was even willing to sacrifice herself in her home which later caused terror for the Perron family.

Then, the spirit of Bathsheba relentlessly terrorized the Perron family until finally Ed and Lorraine Warren stopped her sadistic behavior. The story of Bathsheba before she became a Satanist is terrifying as well. The story is told in several spinoffs of The Conjuring.

4. Annabelle

This one is one of iconic entities which make The Conjuring being highly well known. Her short appearance in the first movie of The Conjuring became a hit. Even her popularity beyonds Bathsheba who is actually the main antagonist of the movie.

Because of her huge popularity, Annabelle got its own three movies. It is told that Annabelle is an entity who has a powerful evil strength. The icon and her strength are the reason why she is suitable to be called a horrible entity in this franchise.

5. Valak

This nun was introduced for the first time in The Conjuring 2 where she became a figure who mocked and influenced Lorraine, who she thought Lorraine was too religious. Valak is also seen on a mission to kill Lorraine's husband, Ed.

Valak's introduction in the movie may be one of the most terrifying in The Conjuring franchise. Later on, it was discovered that the nun was actually a shapeshifting demon named Valak.

Lorraine's knowledge of demons enabled her to defeat Valak. The popularity of Valak led it to have its own movie called The Nun which introduces the origins of this iconic entity.
