Along with Benn Beckman and Yasopp, Lucky Roux became one of the right-hand men of Yonkou Shanks. He’s always seen eating a handful of meat and has a round body shape. Just like Shanks and the two other commanders, the true power of Lucky Roux is still a huge mystery. Here are 5 facts of Lucky Roux in One Piece that you probably didn’t know!

1. One of The Heftiest Characters

With such an enormous body, Lucky Roux became one of the heftiest characters in One Piece. Despite his massive figure, Lucky Roux does not have a gigantic figure like most of the antagonists of the series. Yet this character is not one to be underestimated as he’s probably as powerful as Charlotte Katakuri and King the Wildfire.

2. Estimated Power

Many fans suspect that Lucky Roux’s power is related to teleportation. There are two scenes that support this theory. First, when he shot the mountain bandits. Unbeknownst to anyone, Lucky Roux’s somehow already next by the bandits and immediately shot them. Though he didn’t move from where he was standing.

Second, when Shanks arrives at Marineford. Shanks who had just ousted Kaido could arrive at Marineford in a relatively short amount of time. It was most likely due to Lucky Roux’s ability to teleport. Even with the fact that many fans have already thrown this theory, Oda still hadn’t explained his true power.

3. The First Murderer in One Piece

It sounds a bit of an exaggeration to call him a murderer, yet, it is a fact. When Shanks and his crew arrived in Foosha Village and encountered the mountain bandits, Luffy who did not take the bandits treatment toward Shanks lightly came and actually dare them.

The bandit leader, Higuma, kidnapped Luffy without hesitance. Shanks who saw Higuma hurt his friend was furious. And then, one of the bandits pointed his gun to Shanks’ head, but all of a sudden, Lucky Roux appeared next to the bandit and shot the gun to bandit’s head. That was the first murder in the One Piece series.

4. Of the South Blue Origin

Lucky Roux is originally of the South Blue, yet it has not been explained how and when did he join the Red Hair Pirates. It’s possible that he’s the third member of the Red Hair Pirates crew recruited by Shanks after Benn Beckman and Yasopp. Hopefully, in the upcoming plot, Oda tells the origins of Shanks’ crew, including Lucky Roux.

5. The Inspiration Behind The Name

Oda chose the name Lucky Roux after Lucky Luke. Lucky Luke is a fictional character who’s a cowboy from a Franco-Belgian comic book, Lucky Luke, created by Morris de Bevere. Lucky Luke is also known as the man who shoots faster than his shadow, yet he also never once killed a person with his gun.

Ironically, that principle contradicts heavily with Lucky Roux who’s the first murderer in the One Piece series.

Well, those were some interesting facts of Lucky Roux in One Piece. If you find this article entertaining, share it with your friends. Wait for another One Piece discussion on DuniaGames!
