Sasha Blouse was a member of the Survey Corps and a graduate of the 104th Training Corps. Sasha became a fan-favorite due to her compulsive desire to eat. 

Sasha may seem like she had a weird appearance and personality, yet she has proven time and time again that she was more than that.

1. Nicknamed The Potato Girl

While she was still a cadet of the 104th Training Corps, Sasha often stole food -- usually potatoes. Because of this, Sasha was nicknamed “Potato Girl” by her colleagues. Ever since then, Sasha was often seen with a potato in her hand during the training. Sasha was once told to run for 5 hours as a punishment for stealing potatoes.

Sasha had a huge appetite because she had to fight to have something to eat when she lived in poverty.

2. Named After the Comedian, Sacha Baron Cohen

Hajime Isayama named Sasha after the comedian Sacha Baron Cohen to indicate that Sasha was meant to bring a comedic element to Attack on Titan.

Sacha Baron Cohen is a comedic actor known for his works as Borat, Ali G, and Bruno. 

Isayama often sees Sasha as a comedic character, that’s why Sasha often acted ridiculously.

3. Loves Any Food

According to Hajime Isayama, it seems like there’s not a single food that Sasha dislikes. Sasha did seem like a huge foodie. If someone puts any food in front of her, she’d instantly devour it -- regardless of the kind of the food, be it a loaf of bread or a potato.

During her childhood, Sasha and her father used to go hunting for their food. Her gluttony was actually not that surprising, as Sasha would eat anything she could find.

4. Had Never Killed A Titan

Since Sasha joined the Survey Corps, she had trained so hard to achieve her dream of helping her family and eat good food. However, it seems like hadn’t killed a single Titan.

She had only killed authorities. Sasha did injure a Titan in her hometown, but she never killed one like her other colleagues.

5. One of the Characters Who Survived A Titan Without A 3D Maneuver Gear

Sasha was one of the few characters who survived a Titan encounter without using her 3D Maneuver Gear. This occurred in Chapter 36 of the Attack on Titan manga. 

When she was stationed near Connie’s village, Sasha heard some heavy footsteps from afar and realized that Wall Rose had been breached and they had to act quickly. She then joined the North Squad to evacuate the villagers in the northern part.

Once she returned to her village, Sasha noticed that a Titan had headed straight to the village. She entered a house where a 3-meter Titan was eating a woman’s leg while her child sits nearby, frozen with fear. 

Sasha took the child and grabbed a bow and four arrows. She didn’t use the 3D Maneuver Gear, and couldn’t take down a Titan. But, due to her exceptional hunting skills, she managed to hold off the Titan just with a bow and some arrows, enough for her and the child to escape.
