Sakura is one of the characters that fans often consider useless as she’s far less in comparison to her teammates. On top of that, Sakura is also considered a crybaby by a lot of fans, which often leads to her being a burden for people around her. 

Although Sakura is infamous for being a “useless” character in Naruto, there are actually some other characters that are far less useful than her. Which characters are we talking about? Without further ado, let’s get into it!

1. Izukote (Izumo and Kotetsu)

Izumo and Kotetsu are inseparable friends who can always be seen together. As an inseparable duo, the synergy between them is undoubted. However, despite their synergy, their mediocre individual abilities make them weak -- they even consider themselves useless.

This was apparent when they’re part of Asuma’s team in a capture mission against one of the Akatsuki members. Asuma’s decision to take them for the mission backfired as they were caught by the enemy pretty easily. Because of that, Asuma ended up being killed by Hidan. 

Most fans blamed Izumo and Kotetsu for being a burden in the mission. 

2. Council Members Homura and Koharu

Homura and Koharu are members of the Konoha Council. Despite their high-brass job, both of these characters have become public enemies for a lot of fans.

Homura tends to go with aggressive approaches to protect the village. Whereas Koharu can be so stubborn and always opposes the Hokage’s decisions. Due to her stubbornness, Koharu makes it really hard for the Hokage to find a common ground.

3. Samurai

The Samurai are the military power of the Land of Iron who are highly skilled in swordsmanship, and they’re even able to use chakra to empower their swords. However, since they’re still donning heavy plate armors despite being in a modern era, they prove to be rather useless due to their limited movements.

4. Hiruzen Sarutobi

Hiruzen was the Third Hokage, who also arguably falls into this category. Hiruzen did have amazing abilities, yet his indecisiveness would often lead to him being a burden for people around him -- one of which occured during the Uchiha Incident. He should’ve been able to avoid the incident altogether. But, because of his lack of confidence in making decisions, most members of the Uchiha clan were massacred.

Hiruzen also promised to take care of Naruto when he was little. However, Hiruzen let Naruto live alone and gave him limited allowance money. Hiruzen even let the whole village ostracize Naruto.

During Orochimaru’s attack in Konoha, Hiruzen had lots of opportunities to kill Orochimaru. But, once again, because of his indecisiveness, which also due to the fact that Orochimaru was one of his beloved students, Hiruzen didn’t take his chance, which led to his death and the destruction of Konoha.

5. Tenten

Tenten is a kunoichi who’s known for her expertise in ninja weaponry. Compared to other kunoichis, Tenten is often considered the weakest despite her unique abilities. This is mainly because of her sub-par chakra reserves compared to other ninjas.
