1. Trafalgar Law

Trafalgar Law is the captain of Heart Pirates. During the 2-year time skip, he holds the title of Shichibukai. With Ope Ope no Mi, Law has the ability to do surgery on his opponents and allies. With this devil fruit, he can save Luffy’s life.

It seems like until this point, Law is yet to show his full power. When he faces Hawkins in prison he can dissect him with ease. Law can still develop because we know there’s more to Ope Ope no Mi. With his power, Law may surpass Kaido.

2. Eustass Kid

Eustass Kid is one of the Supernovas with the highest bounty. His devil fruit power allows him to control magnetism. Kid once fought against Kaido and lost; however that doesn’t mean that he can’t win in the future.

Kid once injured one of Big Mom’s Sweet Commander. Similar to Luffy, Kid dreams of becoming the Pirate King. We all know that anyone with this dream is not a regular human, such as Teach. If another time skip happens, Kid may surpass Kaido.

3. Marshall D Teach

We all see Teach’s fast development. When he met Luffy at Jaya island, he is a nobody. But in a short time, he becomes a Shichibukai. After that, he killed Shirohige and become a Yonkou. That’s also the time where he starts using two devil fruit powers.

In the future, Teach potentially become the next Pirate King if he beats Luffy. If this happens, then he obviously surpasses Kaido.

4. Shanks

Shanks is one of the Yonkou, like Kaido. Their bounty price is in the same range. As a Yonkou, Shanks’ strength is incomparable to regular pirates. He once stopped Kaido from joining the war at Marine Ford.

It’s possible that Kaido is afraid of dealing with Shanks from the beginning. In the future, when Shanks meets Kaido, there’s a huge chance that Shanks will win the battle.

5. Monkey D. Luffy

The last character on this list is obviously Monkey D. Luffy. He recently lost to Kaido; however, that doesn’t mean that the same situation will happen again if he learns higher level Haki. During their first fight, Luffy manages to land multiple hits, although it doesn’t faze Kaido.

Luffy needs at least a year to re-train himself so he can fight Kaido on equal terms. Many fans think that Luffy will beat Kaido at the end of the Wano arc.
