Although female psychopaths aren’t as prominent within the movie industry, the few of them who do appear end up becoming some of the most iconic psychopaths like Amy Dunne, a character from Gillain Flynn’s Gone Girl novel.

Rosamund Pike plays the role of Amy Dunne so well, she receives nominations from Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award and SAG Award for the best actress due to her almost-flawless portrayal of an intelligent, hypersexual and calculated psycho.

5. Esther – Orphan

Esther the 9-year-old child from the 2009 movie Orphan is truly disturbing as she becomes an adoptive daughter of a family while being the main antagonist of the movie.

Despite the family’s love and care toward her, nothing deters Esther in her attempt to seduce the husband who adopted her while murdering her way through so many people!

Everything happens because it turns out Esther is in fact an asylum patient with a disturbance in her genetic growth, making her look like a nine-year-old girl while she is in fact much older than that.
