Verdugo means “Executioner” in Spanish. In Resident Evil 4, Verdugo’s role is similar to its name -- executing enemies.

This creature is a result of DNA splicing between insect and human DNA injected by the Plaga parasite. There are two Verdugo in Resident Evil 4, and the two serve as a bodyguard of Ramon Salazar.
