When we play Free Fire game, there are two types of weapons used most often, AR and Sniper Rifle. Shooting repeatedly with an AR weapon looks cool, but sometimes it's not very effective. So in order to get Booyah, you also have to know the advantages of sniper rifles.
The Kar98k and AWM are built-in sniper weapons that don't need to be purchased with Free Fire Diamonds. The only downside is that you can't always find the two types of weapons just anywhere, unless you're lucky.
Long-range combat using a sniper rifle is not easy to master. It takes practice so that your aim is always right and you can shoot at the right time. Sniper rifles are actually the weapon with the highest accuracy rate, so it shouldn't be that difficult to use, right?
What new players usually don't know is the basics of sniping and how to use them. In Free Fire itself, there are two types of long-range weapons that can be found in the looting area. What are they and how do you practice using them?
1. How to Find Sniper Rifle on the Map
Before understanding the basics of sniping, make sure you have used this type of weapon. It is quite rare in some locations, but usually Sniper Rifles can be found in the high grounds. On the Garena Free Fire Bermuda map, for example, sniper rifles are more often found in the area of The Mill.
It is one of the highest points in Bermuda and players love to land there in search of sniper rifles. While in the Kalahari, sniper rifles are usually available in Command Post and Refinery.
2. Shooting While Prone to Reduce Recoil
Instead of learning how to use a sniper rifle from the get go, beginners must first adapt to gameplay of Free Fire. Maybe this will be a little different from some other similar games. After you can learn how to shoot from a distance so it will be easier.
The reason is, the shooting mechanism in Free Fire has been simplified by the developer, unlike PUBG Mobile which has bullet drop. The only consideration when shooting is your range of the target.
When aiming, try not to aim for the enemy's current position, but rather predict which way they are moving. If they get closer, then you should immediately replace the weapon with the AR type. Try doing this while hoping because it can reduce the recoil quite significantly.
3. Be More Efficient with your Shots
Once again, sniper rifles are different from AR, including the damage. Sniper rifles are powerful, so you won’t have to fire as many bullets to kill an enemy. To become a pro sniper, try to be efficient with the number of shots.
Basically, you can eliminate an enemy in one shot if it’s a headshot. But it will take 2-3 shots if you shoot their body. Practice often because shooting down a moving target is difficult.

4. Remain Alert to Enemy’s Movement
The one weakness of novice snipers is that they are glued to the scope. Although it is a way to look far ahead, it narrows your field of view. If the enemy being targeted suddenly disappears, then don't keep aiming and start to look around.
Make sure the enemy doesn't run towards you from a blind spot and fire from close range. Always pay attention to the mini map while moving the screen direction to the surrounding area and switch to AR weapons.
5. Less Attachment Might Be Better
Unlike ARs, sniper rifles actually don't need many attachments. In fact, you could say that it is not needed at all, because the Kar98k and AWM already have almost perfect statistics. If you bring one AR and one sniper, then it's the right combination.
It's just that, sometimes you need a silencer so that your location cannot be known by the enemy. This attachment provides additional capabilities for long-range stealth combat.
Some AR weapons themselves can actually be used for long-range combat. But both types of Sniper Rifles are best suited for the job. Have a good practice to be a pro sniper in Free Fire!
