Most players would agree that Rockstar has provided numerous activities in GTA Online, whether it’s in the Freemode, Adversary Mode, or other missions. However, considering that GTA Online is more than seven years old now and players have already explored most of its content, it’s understandable that some players start to create new activities and challenges whether they involve single-player or multiple-players.

There are a lot of content creators on YouTube who create exciting challenges in GTA Online like Sonny Evans, TGG, DarkViperAU, FailRace, and of course, yours truly. You can try to beat these challenges with your friends for a different GTA Online experience. So, what are those challenges? Check this out.

1. Travel Across The Map Without Dying (Sonny Evans)

This challenge originated from Sonny Evans’ video titled “Can You Walk A Bowl of Stew Across The Map In Red Dead Redemption 2” which amassed 3 million views. From this success, Sonny Evans tried to do a similar thing in GTA Online, by walking from Paleto Bay to the docks in Elysian Island without dying.

Surely this one is not an easy task to pull off. As you may already know, GTA Online PC is a very hostile place. Since it’s been made free on Epic Games Store last May, you may encounter one or two modders almost in every public lobby.

Not to mention the players’ culture in GTA Online, where players are used to killing others on sight, with no particular reason, regardless of what the victims were doing. Therefore, this challenge is arguably one of the most difficult challenges to beat in GTA Online.

Aside from that, Sonny Evans has also done other map-crossing challenges. From walking, on a bike, a Post OP mail truck, a Bulldozer, even as an animal. If you’re planning on doing this challenge, don’t forget to do an homage to Sonny by making brief stops to have a can of Sprunk once in a while to keep you hydrated.

2. Escape From The Cops (TGG)

In the Grand Theft Auto series, running away from the cops is a normal thing to do. What’s not normal is running away with a five-star wanted level on a BMX, just like what TGG did.

This challenge starts by raising your wanted level to five stars first, then hop on a bike and try your best to get away from the cops. However, there’s a catch: you’re not allowed to enter nor hide in places that the police can’t get into. Such as the sewer near the casino, or underground tunnels.

Apart from that, you are free to use any strategy to escape from the cops.

3. Survive The Hunt (FailRace)

As the name implies, in this challenge, there will be a player who will be playing as the hunted, while all of the other players in the GTA Online session try to hunt them down. Now, the hunted has to do whatever it takes to stay under the radar. The main requirement in this challenge is that all of the participants have to turn off their minimap, so no one will know the target’s whereabouts.

On his YouTube channel, FailRace has always been the hunted in this Survive The Hunt challenge. There are numerous strategies that he uses, from dressing up to look like an NPC, using cars that an NPC would drive, or even driving like an NPC.

Yup, obeying the traffic rules, then changes lanes without a signal.

There are some requirements to play Survive The Hunt. First, as mentioned above, players have to turn off the minimap. Second, no explosives are allowed. Third, it’s not allowed to leave downtown Los Santos. And lastly, the hunters have to wait for several seconds at the start of the challenge so that the target can move away from the starting location and use their strategies.

4. Survive The Chase (Dimedigger)

If you find FailRace’s Survive The Hunt to be too peaceful and civilized, my friends and I in the GTA 5 community made a new version of it, called Survive The Chase, a far more barbaric version, which is more suitable to most Indonesian players in GTA Online.

Unlike Survive The Hunt, the target has to try their best not to be caught by the chasers. The target isn’t allowed to use the minimap so that they can’t predict the location of the chasers, and similar to Survive The Hunt, the target isn’t allowed to leave downtown Los Santos.

Furthermore, chasers aren’t allowed to use armed vehicles, such as the Oppressor MK2, Khanjali, etc. The target is also advised to use any vehicle that they have mastered, and whoever can stop the target is the winner. However, if no one manages to catch the target within 20 minutes, the target wins.

5. Cops N Crooks (GTA IV Online)

Cops N Crooks is actually a game mode made by Rockstar in GTA IV Online. Unfortunately, to this day, it’s still not available in GTA V Online. Therefore, many players in the GTA Online community create their own version of Cops N Crooks in the Freemode.

To play Cops N Crooks, players will be divided into two teams. First, the crooks, who try to escape after robbing a bank, and the second team, the cops, who will have to take down the criminals.

To make it even more intense, players can agree to turn off the minimap. Some big YouTube channels have tried playing Cops N Crooks in GTA Online, like Sonny Evans, DarkViperAU, and Xpertthief. In addition to that, most GTA Online players have been waiting for Rockstar to add Cops N Crooks to GTA Online in the next update.

6. Blimp Stacking (Dimedigger)

Blimp Stacking is a challenge that my friends and I created out of boredom of waiting for the next DLC. So, we decided to find out how many Blimps we could stack on top of each other in GTA Online.

All participants in this challenge have to stack Blimps as neatly as possible, and once they’re all stacked up nicely, the player at the bottom has to fly and move the Blimp stacks to a different location.

Of course, this isn’t an easy task, as GTA Online’s in-game camera doesn’t always cover all of the Blimps at the top. Plus, the gusts of wind can easily topple the Blimps on the upper-layer, making this challenge even more difficult to pull off.
