From various parts of the globe, one of the most dangerous players in Captain Tsubasa hails from Sweden, he’s Stefan Levin. There are some interesting facts on Stefan Levin’s story. Let’s get into the discussion below!

1. The Field’s God of Destruction

Levin is often referred to as the “Field’s God of Destruction” which he got since the tragic demise of his fiance, Katarina Karen. Levin was once a kind person who loved football. However, since the passing of Karen, he began to fill himself with hatred as he completely changes his personality.

After that, Levin focuses on the devastating power of his shots, and he doesn’t even hesitate from injuring other players if it justifies his victory. Due to his destructive power, he’s dubbed as the “Field’s God of Destruction”. Not a God of Destruction like Beerus in Dragon Ball Super!

2. Shares the Same Fate with Matsuyama

Before the match between Japan and Sweden began, there’s some news saying that Matsuyama wouldn’t make it to the match due to his fiance, Yoshino, got into an accident and he’d like to accompany her until she’d get better.

Previously, Levin was experiencing the same fate. Yet Levin’s fate was far more tragic than Matsuyama’s since his fiance couldn’t be saved.

3. Tsubasa Reverted Him to His Former Self

Before facing the Japan Youth team, Levin has always won in a not-so-delicate way, by injuring his opponents with his devastating shot called Levin Shot.

However, after having a match with Tsubasa in Japan youth team, Levin reverts to his former self. What changed Levin’s mind was Tsubasa’s words, saying that the ball isn’t meant to hurt other players.

4. A Change in His Shooting Techniques

Tsubasa also made Levin changed his playstyle. He’s no longer the “Field’s God of Destruction“, ‘cause his playstyle has changed 180 degrees. Levin Shot focuses on the devastating power that can even destroy a large statue. But Levin changed it into New Levin Shot. This shot no longer focuses on the power, but the speed, so it’s sole purpose is to get into the net with high speed.

5. Has Once Injured Schneider and Muller

Schneider and Muller were once also the victims of the lethal Levin Shot. Despite the fact that Muller is called as a legendary goalkeeper who rarely lets the ball into his net. Not just his towering stature, Muller’s power was thought to be enough to withstand that shot.

Yet still, he couldn’t withstand the devastating power of Levin Shot. In the end, Sweden was able to defeat Germany with a final score of 5-3 at the World Cup.

6. Plays for Bayern Munich

In the anime, Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002, Levin plays for Bayern Munich alongside Schneider and Sho Shunko. He competed against Wakabayashi and Kaltz who plays for Hamburg. In the end, Munich defeated Hamburg in a close match of 1-0.
