In June 2021, Toge Productions announced a funding program for indie game developers called TGFI (Toge Game Fund Initiative). This program aims to help indie game developers from Southeast Asian countries to complete their dream projects. After passing the selection, Toge Productions finally announced the six games receiving the funding program.

Citing Toge Productions’ Twitter account, here are the six games that are eligible for the TGFI funding program:

Ngopi Yuk! - Uniqx Studio (Indonesia)

Let's Drink! is a game adapted from the Webtoon comic with the same title. Based on the description given, in this game players will be presented with a peaceful storyline in a coffee shop in Indonesia, to be precise in the Pontianak area. Let's Drink! It was also shown at the Gameprime Parekraf 2021.

Project Descent - Kotakorean Games (Malaysia)

Next, there is an indie game called Project Descent made by the developer Kotaorean Games from Malaysia. This game itself will carry the real-time strategy (RTS) genre using a fantasy world background with a touch of Southeast Asia. Later the player will be tasked with guiding the characters to victory.

Secret Life of Dorian Pink - AmberLimShin (Malaysia)

Secret Life of Dorian Pink is an RPG game developed by AmberLimShin from Malaysia. This game is about saving the player’s spouse in hell. Uniquely, during the adventure, players will also be faced with various strange decisions that must be taken to continue the journey.

Project Angkara - Trimatra Interactive (Indonesia)

Project Angkara is a first-person shooter (FPS) game with a unique retro style. This game was developed by developer Trimatra Interactive which will take players on an adventure in a fantasy world inspired by Southeast Asian mythology.

Project Darma - Anoman Studio (Indonesia)

Anoman Studio is an indie developer from Indonesia who also released a game titled Orbiz. Now they are developing their newest game which is still titled Project Darma. Based on the description given, this game will carry an action genre that focuses on the revenge story of a Hitman who wants to kill the leader of a gang in Indonesia.

Sunset Satellite - Twilight Foundry Games (Malaysia)

Lastly, there is Sunset Satellite which was developed by Twilight Foundry Games from Malaysia. This game will carry the concept of 3D animation with an interactive story, which will bring an emotional storyline.

The existence of this TGFI funding program will help small developers who want to complete their game projects. Joining this program is quite easy, developers must complete a number of requirements given by Toge Productions. The selected games will not only get funding, but also exclusive rights to the IPs that are created and will introduce these games internationally.
