The live-action of Alice in Borderland based on manga and anime has attracted the attention of many viewers. With the theme of Survival Game, Alice in Borderland which is aired on Netflix is very exciting with action and intrigues like a combination of Hunger Games and Ready Player One. The first season is over and Alice in Borderland Season 2 has been announced to also premiere on Netflix with a TBA date.
Alice in Borderland Season 1 is surprisingly faithful to the content of the original manga. The characters are similar to the manga, and the plots touch all the same points. Therefore, Alice in Borderland Season 2 will probably take the same cues from the source material, the manga. Here are the 6 important things that are expected to be revealed in Alice in Borderland Season 2, if the plot goes like the manga.
SPOILER ALERT! This article contains spoilers, proceed with caution!
1. Presents More Games
In Alice in Borderland Season 1 we see the main antagonist Arisu and his partners, they have just collected all the numbered cards in a mysterious survival game. This prompted the release of 12 hot air balloons, each carrying a giant banner bearing a face card. Each of these hot air balloons represents one of the last 12 games, all more difficult than the previous game.
In the manga, these games include a battle royale against a nudist, a mahjong game, a number guessing game, an endless trust game with a traitor, as well as an endless and limitless game against a ruthless sniper. Basically, all the characters change, and everyone's specialization is tested to the extreme in Alice in Borderland Season 2.
2. Tragic Drama
Arisu and Usagi have had a close relationship since they first played the survival tag game together. But in Alice in Borderland Season 2 we will see them finally decide their relationship and how it affects the game. True love and survival games rarely run smoothly together, just look at Peeta and Katniss in the Hunger Games movies.
Just like any other survival game stories, Arisu has to hit rock bottom before he can win again. If Alice in Borderland Season 2 followed the manga, it would mean that she would actually stop competing in the game altogether due to the loss of someone close to her.
3. Huge Sacrifice
In the manga, the first face card taken by the former Beach crew was King of Clubs, a tactical points-based fighting game. The game is team-based, and takes on five residents of Borderland, partners of the King of Clubs himself.
Everything seems to be going according to plan until the surprise tactic almost kills the players. Fortunately, Tatta had a plan which was to cut off his arm so that Arisu could take his points tracking bracelet and win the game. Tatta bleeds out, making Arisu feel guilty for Tatta's sacrifice.

4. Meeting Game Master Mira
Season 1 features a "Game Master" who turns out to be Mira, a high-ranking member of the Beach group. If Alice in Borderland Season 2 follows the manga, then she will definitely appear again. Mira is actually the Queen of Hearts, and acts as the last barrier between Arisu and all the cards needed to return to the real world.
The game is simple, play three rounds of the helipad with Mira. It doesn't matter who wins, as long as three rounds are played. But this game is a game of the heart, so there's definitely a chilling psychological touch to it.
5. The True Meaning of Borderlands is Explained
Arisu goes into the final match with only one agenda, looking for answers. He had asked Mira what Borderland was on several occasions. First, she says it is a virtual reality resort for a superior race of humans who have learned to live in total perfection but crave suffering. The prize for winning is being able to stay longer in Borderland and design more games. Then, she said it was a lie.
Then, she said it was all a hallucination caused by the trauma of seeing her friends get hit by a train the day they were sent to Borderland. She couldn't accept the fact that she couldn't help them, so she made this entire Borderland to deal with it. Mira is actually a psychiatrist treating him. It was at this point that Arisu realized only one part of this was true which was that he had been drugged.
After fighting for his sanity, Arisu manages to win the game, which means all players are given a choice between staying in the game forever, or returning to the real world. Arisu and Usagi choose to return to the real world, and the true plot twist of Alice in Borderland Season 2 is revealed.
6. All Players in Borderlands Turns Out to Be Victims of Meteor Incident
Yes, every character we know in this story is somehow injured by a meteor. Those who chose to return were told that their heart had stopped for a full minute, meaning the entire time span in Borderland lasted only one minute in real-time in the real world.
Will Alice in Borderland Season 2 remain true to the manga? If not, will the director create an alternate ending? We will find out when Alice in Borderland Season 2 is released.
