The whole of 2021 has been full of exciting new anime premieres. From the return of popular anime like Shaman King, Beastars, Fruits Basket, Megalobox, and My Hero Academia to surprising original series like Odd Taxi, Sk8 the Infinity, and Pui Pui Molcar, it's been a great year to be an anime fan in 2021. There is another, no less exciting, Fall 2021 Anime that will be airing in these few months.

This fall offers several premieres of the highly anticipated new Fall 2021 Anime. What are the recommended Fall 2021 Anime? Here's the list!

1. Blue Period

This Fall 2021 Anime tells about Yatora Yaguchi, a smart high school student who skates. Yatora likes to party in Shibuya with his friends every night, living without a care in this world.

He finds a large and beautiful painting by his classmate and it awakens something in him. From then on, he dedicated his time to studying painting and creating art.

Blue Period is a good anime, with a touch of realism that will touch your heart. Watching characters develop con artist syndrome and feel inadequate during their artistic journey can be difficult.

For some, this is too relatable and very much related to their circumstances. The way writer Tsubasa Yamaguchi presents it makes this anime one of the best series to achieve a serialization in a long time. Blue Period will premiere on October 2 in Japan.

2. Chainsaw Man

The long-awaited anime tells the story of Denji, a teenage boy who lives his daily life working to pay off debts to the yakuza left by his father. With no one but a demon sawdog named Pochita by his side, he dreams of becoming a normal teenage boy who can live a happy life.

Things change when he almost dies, and he makes a contract with his demon dog to live and become Chainsaw Man. He is then picked up by the Public Security Division, led by the charming and mysterious Makima, and tries to live his life with a sense of normalcy.

Chainsaw Man is one of the most anticipated series after the manga became a huge success. Showing Denji looking like a very excited idiot at first, the series goes from zero to 100 very quickly.

The characters are fun, the plot is heart-wrenching, and honestly, how can you say no to that adorable little orange saw pup? With MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Sarazanmai) producing the series, it's sure to spoil the eyes. Chainsaw Man's premiere date hasn't been announced yet, but it may premiere sometime this fall 2021.

3. 86 EIGHTY-SIX Season 2

86, a military science fiction romance drama based on a light novel of the same name, premiered last April and introduces viewers to the warring factions of the Republic of San Magnolia and the Giad Empire through the perspective of Lena, the candidate for major. Set in San Magnolia which uncovers a terrible secret at the center of a conflict zone.

The second half of the anime, now renamed to its second season, will premiere this October and delve further into the plight of a mysterious population of people known as the "86s." Season 2 of 86 EIGHTY-SIX will premiere on TOKYO MX in Japan on October 2, 2021.

4. The Heike Story

Dubbed “a prayer story that transcends 800 years,” the latest from Science SARU, director Naoko Yamada (A Silent Voice), and composer Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden) tackle the epic story of the Taira and Minamoto clan wars from Japanese history. Adapted from acclaimed novelist Hideo Furukawa's translation of a 14th-century text, this anime promises visual splendor and a deep sense of poetry linked to the early days of Japan's history.

Funimation announced the main cast of Aoi Yuki as Biwa and Takahiro Sakurai as Taira no Shigemori. The Heike Story will premiere on Funimation on September 15.

5. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean

David Production is back with another installment in the critically acclaimed adaptation of Hirohiko Araki's supernatural adventure fantasy manga Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. The fifth season is titled Stone Ocean, following the storyline of Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of the series' protagonist, Jotaro Kujo. Jolyne, caught in a misunderstanding, is involved and convicted of murder.

Sentenced to 15 years at the Green Dolphin Street Jail in Florida, Jolyne soon learns that she was framed by none other than a student of the family's longtime foe named DIO. The story's protagonist must learn to master the power of her "Stand" in order to thwart their evil plans and reclaim his freedom. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean will premiere in December 2021 on Netflix. 

6. Komi-San Can’t Communicate

As the title suggests, Shouko Komi is a teenage girl who has difficulty communicating. Despite being seen as an elegant beauty by her classmates, she has no friends due to her social anxiety. After meeting her ordinary classmate, Hitohito Tadano, she promises to make 100 friends.

It turns out that their classmates also have their own way of interacting and they all want to be friends too. Komi-san Can't Communicate is a romantic comedy manga that is very popular because of its good and sweet story. Komi-san Can't Communicate will premiere on October 7, 2021 in Japan.
