Like other MOBA games, Honor of Kings (HoK) has several heroes that are considered META or OP, making them popular choices among players during a ranked season. In the recently started ranked Season 7 on September 25, 2024, we also have a number of heroes deemed META.

Typically, META heroes are considered overpowering (OP), making them feared by many players. It’s no surprise that some of these META heroes are frequently banned to prevent them from being used by either teammates or opponents.

HoK Season 7 META Heroes

1. Augran

Despite recent nerfs, Augran remains a formidable choice as a jungle or clash lane hero. His damage and defense capabilities are so overpowering that he can survive in battle even against 1 vs 4 situations.

2. Loong

Loong is a newly released farm lane hero. However, he is often banned in matches, making him less frequently encountered in ranked play. His ultimate allows him to enter battles with devastating effects, making him very dangerous. Beyond just dealing damage, Loong can also apply crowd control and slow effects on enemies.

3. Dolia

While not a traditional strong support for initiating fights, Dolia can serve as a primary support for healing, slowing enemies, and applying crowd control. Most importantly, Dolia can reset the ultimate of one of her teammates, allowing it to be used repeatedly.

4. Li Bai

As an Assassin, Li Bai is equipped with a comprehensive skill set. He can dash, apply stun effects, and deal significant damage. Li Bai can even independently remove stun effects caused by enemies.

5. Da Qiao

Da Qiao is an unconventional support hero. Her ultimate can summon her teammates anywhere, and she provides crucial slow and crowd control effects during battles.

6. Shangguan

Shangguan is particularly troublesome during combat. He can inflict damage on enemies while causing slow effects, making a significant impact in fights.

7. Sima Yi

Sima Yi is a unique hero. He can gain vision of enemy heroes that recently used skills within a 2,000 range. In his ultimate, Sima Yi can dash to a target location and inflict damage on enemies near the destination.

Note: Besides the heroes listed above, there are many other annoying heroes deemed too OP that are not included here. You can use this list as a recommendation when considering bans while playing HoK.
