Kekkei genkai means bloodline limit in the Naruto world. It’s genetically passed down to family or clan members. Dojutsu such as Sharingan and Byakugan are a part of kekkei genkai.

Additionally, the ability to transform their body or combine two unique chakra releases are also considered kekkei genkai.

We are familiar with kekkei genkai from clans residing in Konohagakure such as Sharingan and the Wood Release of Hashirama Senju. But what about other villages? They got them too and this is the list of kekkei genkai not from Konohagakure!

1. Explosion Release

Bakuton is a kekkei genkai created by combining Earth and Lightning Release and the user can manipulate their chakra to explode an object.

Explosion Release kekkei genkai is commonly used by shinobis from Iwagakure such as Deidara, who uses clay as a medium, and Gari who combines it with his Taijutsu.

2. Ice Release 

The combination of Water and Wind Release is the kekkei genkai of the Yuki Clan from Water Village. With this kekkei genkai, the Yuki Clan can manipulate ice, including dropping the temperature and create snow.

Their ice is so powerful that Fire Release jutsus from Sasuke can’t melt it. Thanks to this unique Release, the Yuki Clan is hunted down by a lot of people leaving only Haku and his mother.

3. Magnet Release

Magnet Release kekkei genkai is created by combining Wind and Earth Release that allows the user to manipulate metals including the iron sand.

Most of the well-known users of the Magnet Release came fromSunagakure such as the Third Kazekage, the Fourth Kazekage (Gold Sand), Gaara (Shukaku’s Jinchuuriki), and Sasori, but other shinobis from Kumogakure and Ishigakure also have Magnet Release users.

4. Shikotsumyaku

A rare kekkei genkai belonging to the descendant of Kagura Otsutsuki. By combining their chakra and calcium in their body, the user can manipulate their bone -  creating an impenetrable defense or a spear that can pierce anything.

Thet aspect of Shikotsumyaku made it considered to be the strongest taijutsu to ever exist.

5. Jugo’s Clan’s Kekkei Genkai 

The kekkei genkai of Jugo’s clan that he massacred by himself. 

The kekkei genkai allows the members of the Clan to absorb natural energy without having to practice senjutsu and transform their body. But because the energy is not stable, their mental state became unstable that it urges them to kill others.

6. Iburi Clan’s Kekkei Genkai

Like some, the user of this kekkei genkai no longer exists.

The jutsu allows the clan to transform their body into smoke that can’t be hurt but can still touch other objects. The ability has a stronger effect when the user is still young.

Outsiders can obtain the kekkei genkai temporarily by doing a blood transfusion with a member of the clan.

But if they fail to control the jutsu, they may disappear when blown away by a strong wind.

7. Ketsuryugan

The users are called the holders of eyes as red as blood, but Ketsuryugan is not as powerful as the three major dojutsu: Rinnegan, Byakugan, and Sharingan. 

The owner of this kekkei genkai can use a genjutsu that can’t be blocked by Sharingan users like Sasuke. They can also control blood and other liquid with high iron concentration.

Ketsuryugan is a kekkei genkai belonging to the Chinoike Clan from the Lightning Village, but they are exiled to the Land of Hot Water because of the political conflict.
