Resident Evil is one of the horror games set in various locations. Although the majority of Resident Evil locations are adapted from cities in the United States. Such as Dulvey, the fictional town in Resident Evil 7 that is inspired by Louisiana. Tall Oaks in Resident Evil 6 was also a fictional town inspired by New England.
Besides adapting several locations from the United States, Capcom started using locations from other countries to be adapted into Resident Evil. So we can say that the Resident Evil games have been around the world. From every Resident Evil location, which one is the scariest?
1. Paris and Antarctica
In Resident Evil CODE: Veronica, Claire Redfield visits Umbrella's laboratory in Paris, France in search of her brother Chriss Redfield. She was then taken to Rocfort Island which is in the south of the Pacific Ocean. Claire's adventure continues to the secret base of Umbrella Antarctica, South Pole. While chasing Umbrella, Claire still has the time to walk around.
2. Spain
Do you still remember Leon's adventures in Resident Evil 4? It turns out that the Los Iluminados horde that Leon S. Kennedy faced set up a base in a remote village in Spain. Unfortunately there was no mention of the name of the place. No one expected that this remote village would contain the most terrible parasites in the world, Las Plagas.
3. Kijuju, Afrika
In Resident Evil 6, Capcom is looking at Africa to be used as a fictional location called Kijuju. The fictional city is told to be in the West African region. This is where Chris Redfield and his partner Sheva Alomar prevent Albert Wesker's crazy plan to change the world by using Uroboros.
4. Queen Zenobia
Because the laboratory on the ground is too easy to detect, the II Vetro terrorist group uses a cruise ship as the location for its secret laboratory. This cruise ship named Queen Zenobia is the location of the game Resident Evil: Revelations. II Vetro itself is a bioterrorist group from Italy. This cruise ship is similar to a giant cruise ship in general. Where these cruises usually explore the calm Mediterranean sea. It seems that Capcom is smitten with the Mediterranean region.

Resident Evil 6 repeats Resident Evil CODE: Veronica in terms of traveling the world. Starting in the United States, the next two locations for Resident Evil 6 are in Langshiang (China) and Edonia (Eastern European Region). Due to the different locations, the characters displayed also vary. Starting from Leon, Chris, even Sherry Birkin was also present in this game.
6. Baltic Sea
In Resident Evil Revelations 2, Capcom was inspired by the northeastern region of Europe. Where there is a fictional island named Sejm Island as the location of the game. This island is said to be in the Baltic Sea which was once a colony of the Soviet Union. This game is a comeback event for Barry Burton's character who disappeared after the events of the first Resident Evil game.
7. Hungary
The new Resident Evil Village game that Capcom will release soon is set in a mysterious village. From the many visuals shared, it can be seen that the village in the game has the nuances of the plains of Eastern Europe. Including the existence of a large castle that towers over a village. When referring to the statement of Art Director, Tomonori Takano, the village takes inspiration from the 16th century Hungarian background.
Capcom has also shared many visuals related to Village conditions through some interesting details on the residentevil.com site. The castle shadows and the surrounding hills, allowing sunlight to enter the village. Strengthens the thick aura of horror to support the course of the story. There are also those who say that this village is similar to a location in Romania. So, let's look forward to the truth when Resident Evil Village is released, guys.
