Fans of the Resident Evil movie, which is based on the popular Zombie and biological weapons-themed game from Capcom, seem to always be spoiled with the live-action movies. After this year's Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness animated series, reportedly on November 24, 2021, a reboot of the Resident Evil live-action movie titled Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City is set to premiere.

Maybe many people are a bit disappointed with the previous Resident Evil live-action, which strays from the game’s story because it focuses on Alice, played by Milla Jovovich. Hopefully, the current Resident Evil live-action reboot can help the fans’ disappointment. Here’s the cast of Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City, are they similar to the game characters?

1. Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield

Robbie Amell will play Chris Redfield Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City, a STARS special forces personnel who later becomes a member of the BSAA who fights all kinds of zombies or biological weapons in various parts of the world. Robbie Amell's older brother, Stephen Amell, plays Oliver Queen or Green Arrow in the DC superhero series Arrow.

Although he is not as popular as his brother, Robbie has been involved in the industry since 2005.

This handsome actor previously played Ronnie Raymond or Firestorm in one of the DC Arrowverse superhero series entitled The Flash. Robbie is also best known for acting in the 2015 romantic comedy film The DUFF.

2. Kayla Scodelario as Claire Redfield

Kayla Scodelario is playing Claire Redfield in Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City, Chris Redfield's younger sister who is looking for her brother's whereabouts in Raccoon City but ends up trapped in it due to a virus outbreak that turns all its residents into zombies. For those of you who followed The Maze Runner franchise from 2014 to 2018, you must be familiar with Kayla Scodelario who plays a complicated and mysterious character named Teresa.

This young woman is known for her role as Haley Keller who must survive the attack of vicious creatures in the natural horror film titled Crawl in 2019, which may help her to act in this film about a zombie outbreak in Raccoon City.

3. Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy

Avan Jogia will play Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City, a young amateur cop who comes to Raccoon City to work on his first day at the Raccoon City Police Department but ends up caught in a zombie virus outbreak.

Avan Jogia has showcased his talent in acting in zombie movies in a zombie comedy film entitled Zombieland: Double Tap, where Avan plays Berkeley, a peaceful hippie who doesn't want to fight zombies with firearms.

4. Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine

Hannah John-Kamen will play Jill Valentine in Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City, a member of the Raccoon City police special unit called STARS. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe must be familiar with Hannah who plays a villain named Ghost, nicknamed Baba Yaga in Ant-Man and The Wasp.

The action scenes as well as the martial arts fight that Hannah did as a Ghost proved her ability to play as Jill Valentine, a tough female character who can fight the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City, even the most terrible variants like Nemesis.

5. Neal McDonough as William Birkin

Neal McDonough is playing  William Birkin in Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City. William Birkin is an Umbrella Corporation scientist who developed the T-Virus and G-Virus and injected them into himself to become a half-human half-monster.

Neal McDonough is a seasoned actor, one of which is his role in the DC Arrowverse series as Damian Darhk.

In addition to the DC series, Neal McDonough has also often acted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dum Dum Dugan in Captain America: The First Avenger and also in the Agent Carter series.

6. Tom Hooper as Albert Wesker

Tom Hooper is playing Albert Wesker in Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City, the captain of the police special forces leader named STARS who turns out to be a traitor and helps the Umbrella Corporation which is responsible for the zombie virus outbreak.

Tom Hopper is famous for playing Luther Hargreeves or Number One in the popular series The Umbrella Academy.

7. Lilly Gao as Ada Wong

Lilly Gao will play Ada Wong in Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City, a mysterious female secret agent who infiltrates the Umbrella Corporation laboratory in Raccoon City to obtain virus samples and other research materials.

Gao has been active in the acting world since 2012 in many television series. One of them is the TV series called Second Jen, from 2016 to 2018 as Karen Chen.
