1. First Introduction

As we all know, Katakuri is the main antagonist in the Whole Cake Island arc. In the manga, Katakuri was introduced at Big Mom's Tea Party, in chapter 860 to be precise. On his appearance, Katakuri shot Jigra with jelly beans from his hand. Whereas in the anime, Katakuri (albeit in silhouette) had been shown long before the Tea Party began.

In the 20th opening, Hope (Namie Amuro), the silhouette of Katakuri is also shown. From there, we might already know that he will be Luffy's most dangerous opponent on Whole Cake Island other than Big Mom.

2. Place and Date of Birth

You need to know that Charlotte Katakuri was not born in Totto Land. He was born on November 25, about 48 years ago. At that time, it was likely that Big Mom was still sailing as a member of the Rocks Pirates.

Based on the Vivre Card given to Katakuri, he was born on a ship located far from Totto Land. He had lived in Totto Land since a very young age as shown in chapter 902.

3. The Origins of the Scar on His Mouth

Katakuri has a wound on each side of his mouth which each ends close to his ears. It’s not explained in the anime or manga about the origins of his wound. But we can find out through the information on the Vivre Card.

Based on the Vivre Card, Katakuri accidentally tore his mouth when he was 5 due to putting too many donuts in his mouth at once. Just like Big Mom, he eats a lot, and his favorite food is donuts.

4. The Reason Why He Wears a Scarf

Throughout the Whole Cake Island arc, Katakuri always covers the lower half of his face with a scarf, and maybe only Luffy had seen his real face. As explained above, this is because Katakuri doesn't want other people to see his wound. This is to protect his family.

Because of his appearance, Katakuri’s family often became the subject of bullying by other children. One day, Brulee was badly injured as a result of being bullied. Since then, Katakuri decided to cover his face and become a good brother to his younger siblings.

5. His Bounty

Charlotte Katakuri has a fantastic bounty, around 1,057,000,000 Belly. At that time, it was the highest number for fugitives known to man after Jack the Drought which previously scored for 1,000,000,000 Belly. That number is not strange considering Katakuri is the right hand of a Yonkou Big Mom.

Katakuri earned such a bounty without ever leaving Whole Cake Island. The ones Big Mom usually sends out to run errands missions and errands are Pekoms and Tamago. 7. His Devil Fruit’s Specialty

Mochi Mochi no Mi is different from other devil fruits that have been revealed so far. Probably this fruit is the rarest compared to the others. Although it looks similar to Logia at first, it is a special Paramecia fruit.

The reason it is called a special Paramecia is because of its ability which resembles a Logia fruit. Paramecia-type devil fruits should only change the user's body shape without creating anything related to the user's devil fruit, but it's a special Paramecia that can make Katakuri create mochi and manipulate it according to his will.

8. His Biggest Strength

Mochi Mochi no Mi gave Katakuri a lot of strength, but that isn't his biggest strength. Katakuri's greatest strength is the god-level Kenbunshoku Haki, which allows him to see the future for a few seconds.

Thanks to this ability, Katakuri holds the record as an undefeated fighter. But the record’s broken after he lost to Luffy, who progressed during the fight against him.
