Eraser Head (real name Aizawa Shota) is a pro hero who also works as a teacher at U.A in My Hero Academia. He is Midoriya's homeroom teacher in class 1-A. There are some interesting facts about him that you may don’t know about. Take a look at the discussion below!

1. Making Hitoshi Shinso His Student

At the beginning of season 5, we saw Hitoshi Shinso participating in a sparring match between classes 1-A vs 1-B. Shinso, who was in class 1-C, wanted to become a pro hero. Aizawa decided to train him personally for the sake of this competition. Just like Eraser Head, Shinso uses a scarf as a weapon to support the use of his Quirks.

2. His Special Weapon

Eraser Head has an erasing Quirk that can erase his opponent's Quirk. This makes Aizawa an easy target for his opponent. That's why he always wears a scarf as his supporting weapon. This scarf is not an ordinary scarf because it is a hero item that can catch opponents.

5. A Cat Lover

One of the surprising facts about Eraser Head is that he is a cat lover. Aizawa's journey to becoming a pro hero began when he saw an abandoned cat when he was young. It was raining and Aizawa was on his way to school. He saw a cat and left his umbrella to protect the cat from the rain.

Because he left his umbrella for the cat, he continued his way to school without an umbrella in the middle of the rain. Meanwhile, his friend, Oboro, brought the cat to school and he’s late.

6. Once Having Doubts Before Becoming a Hero

After comparing himself to his friend Oboro who is considered more heroic, Aizawa wasn't sure if he could become a hero. If he couldn't save a cat from getting wet due to the rain, how could he solve bigger obstacles?

His Quirk is also not as strong as his friends in class because he can't beat his opponent alone. But, because of the support from Oboro and Hizashi (Present Mic) who believed that Aizawa could become a pro hero one day, Aizawa stayed to his dream, making him the hero that he is today.

7. The Reason Why He's Always Alone (SPOILER)

Oboro helped Aizawa to become a pro hero. After losing his best friend against a villain, Aizawa became a loner. Despite his above-average grades, he doesn’t hang out with anyone. Aizawa is traumatized and so afraid that it will happen again. Even so, many people care about him, especially students of class 1-A.

8. His Story Before Becoming a Teacher

After graduating from U.A, Aizawa works as a hero and focuses on fighting villains. After some time, Aizawa met Midnight who was not yet a teacher. Midnight said that at that time she always got requests from U.A to teach at the school.

According to her Aizawa is also suitable to be a teacher at U.A. Aizawa refuses because he felt he couldn't get along with children. But Midnight proposed to U.A on Aizawa's behalf without his knowledge. Aizawa was accepted and he continues to be a teacher at U.A until now.
