HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail will release the new version 2.1 "Running Into the Abyss of Darkness" on March 27th. This update will not only bring new exploration places and friends, but will also guide Trailblazer to explore Penacony deeper to uncover the secrets hidden behind it.

In the previous storyline, a mysterious traveler named Acheron, had left a deep impression on Trailblazer with his unique charm. This long-awaited 5-star character will officially arrive in Version 2.1 as a powerful companion for Trailblazer. Not many people know the real name of the character who calls himself the "Galaxy Ranger". Acheron always carried a long sword in hand while exploring the universe alone.

He has a cold and quiet nature, but his sword moves are as fast as purple lightning. In battle, Acheron will accumulate 1 special charge point "Slashed Dream" every time he casts a skill. Apart from that, "Slashed Dream" points will also increase every time a target casts an Ability on an enemy and causes a Debuff effect on the enemy.

When "Slashed Dream" points reach a certain amount, Acheron can immediately activate Ultimate, launching 4 attacks on the enemy: including 3 attacks on 1 targeted enemy, and 1 attack which causes DMG to all enemies. Apart from that, Acheron will also directly attack the enemy when using the Technique. If the target is an ordinary enemy, then the enemy will immediately be defeated without entering the battle. This really helps players in Open World adventures and map exploration.

Another highly anticipated 5-star character, Aventurine, will also be joining the Trailblazer team. He is not only a high-level manager of the Interastral Peace Corporation's "Strategic Investment Department", but also one of the members of the "Ten Stone-Hearted Men", the cornerstone of which is "Aventurine - Acting Cleverly". Aventurine loves challenges with high risks and views life as an endless game.

He could always win easily when playing against fate. Although Aventurine always completes any challenge with a smile on her face, her true thoughts are hard to guess. In battle, Aventurine's unique Ability can grant special, stackable Shields to all teammates. Every time a teammate who has this Shield is hit by an attack, Aventurine will get "Blind Bet" charge points that can be accumulated.

When the "Blind Bet" reaches a certain amount, Aventurine will trigger a Follow-up Attack and at the same time will stack another special Shield on all teammates. Ultimate Aventurine not only provides a "Blind Bet" with a random number, but also deals DMG to the targeted enemy, and makes the enemy enter a special Debuff state.

When all teammates attack a target that is in this status, the resulting CRIT DMG will increase. It is worth mentioning that in version 2.1, Trailblazer will fight with Ten Stonehearts: Aventurine of Stratagems. Why did Aventurine choose to present itself this way? Why was he playing a game of lose-lose with Trailblazer, and what was the outcome of this game? All these questions will be revealed gradually in version 2.1 of the storyline.

In the next story in Penacony, the 4-star character who is a local resident, Gallagher will also join the team. Gallagher is not only the Bloodhound Family's security guard, but he is also a bartender in his spare time. He dressed carelessly, didn't care about the little things, and he also mixed drinks casually.

Although he is always polite to all visitors, he is always on guard and seems to hide many secrets. In battle, Gallagher is a reliable teammate. When he casts his Ultimate, he not only deals DMG to all enemies, but also makes them enter a special Debuff state.

This allows teammates to recover HP when attacking enemies with a special Debuff status, thereby increasing their survivability in battle. The 5-star characters Luocha and Jingliu will appear in Event Warp in the first stage and second stage of version 2.1. These two old friends from Xianzhou can definitely help the Trailblazers during their pioneering expedition in Penacony.
