Shadow Esports' position in the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring competition, as the FFNS 2026 Spring champions, appears to be in dire straits. After three weeks of competition in the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring, the threat of relegation has once again loomed over Shadow Esports, a team that is a graduate of the FFNS. Following a string of failures by previous FFNS champions, Shadow Esports must now fight to avoid relegation in the fourth week in an attempt to secure a spot in the Grand Final alongside the other five best teams.
Shadow Esports has demonstrated their hard work and dedication. Like the other FFNS champions, KAGENDRA and Vesakha Sriwijaya have given their best to avoid relegation. Ultimately, ONIC's coach, Coach AFM, conveyed one key message to Shadow Esports to help them maintain their chances of competing in the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring. What advice did Coach AFM give? Read on for the full review below.
ONIC AFM's Message to Shadow Esports at FFWS SEA 2026 Spring: Focus on Gameplay!
Shadow Esports is currently competing in the fourth week of FFWS SEA 2026 Spring alongside two other Indonesian teams, EVOS Divine and ONIC. For your information, if Shadow Esports fails to break into the top 6, they will be relegated. If Shadow Esports breaks into the top 6 and surpasses one or two of the remaining Indonesian teams, they will be safe and remain in FFWS SEA for the next season. This means either EVOS or ONIC will be relegated.
ONIC coach AFM told Dunia Games (DG) exclusively that the top Indonesian teams in FFWS SEA already possess experience and a strong gameplay foundation. Therefore, these four top teams are working hard to avoid relegation this season. "Indonesian teams, especially the Big 4, already have a strong foundation and experience. It's like they've been around the world, and there haven't been many changes to their players, especially their captains. EVOS, RRQ, BTR, and ONIC haven't had any changes at all," AFM told Dunia Games (DG) exclusively.
"So, in terms of mentality, strategy, and so on, I think they've leveled up. It depends on the remaining fifth team, whether it's Shadow (previously KAGENDRA) or Sriwijaya (previously Sriwijaya), which is a stumbling block," he said. "We want Indonesian teams to be Indonesian teams. But, there's a relegation system here. Certainly, none of these Big 4 teams want to be relegated. Ultimately, these new teams always struggle to survive relegation. First, they can't get a respected drop zone, they don't know the strategy, they're not very familiar with it, and then there's the mental state, and so on. So, there are many problems they have to face," AFM added.
AFM also stated that Shadow Esports' way to survive in the FFWS SEA and avoid relegation is to play crazier than the other teams. If their gameplay is monotonous and easy to read, it will ultimately make things difficult for Shadow Esports. "How can Shadow survive and survive a system like this? They have to be crazier than the current SEA teams," he explained. "So, they can't stay in their comfort zone."
"And their strategy and gameplay must also be insane, not monotonous. Well, if I were to give you an idea, they have to be an unpredictable team. They have to be a dark horse team with unpredictable gameplay," he concluded. Although ONIC and Shadow Esports are currently both fighting to reach the Grand Finals and avoid relegation, do you think Shadow Esports can survive, Survivors? Don't miss the fourth week of FFWS SEA 2026 Spring, May 15-17, 2026.
