The growing popularity of Pokémon cards in Indonesia has prompted AKG Entertainment, as the Pokémon Master Licensee in Indonesia and the official distributor of the Pokémon Collectible Card Game, to introduce Starter Deck ex Mega Lucario and Starter Deck ex Mega Venusaur. For the first time, Mega Evolution Pokémon ex are available in Starter Deck ex format, containing 60 pre-assembled, ready-to-play cards, so players, even beginners, can jump right into the game without having to build a deck from scratch. Both Starter Deck ex are available at various local game shops and official Pokémon Collectible Card Game retail outlets in Indonesia.

These two new Starter Deck ex offer different playstyle options. Starter Deck ex Mega Lucario is suitable for players who want to immediately experience the fast-paced and high-pressure gameplay. This deck is designed for players who prefer an aggressive, fast-paced playstyle from the start, creating a dynamic match. One way to achieve this is through its Aura Stab attack, which allows players to extract up to three Basic Fighter Energy from the Trash and equip it to a Reserve Pokémon.

Mega Venusaur ex, on the other hand, offers a more defensive and durable approach to play. This deck allows players to strategize more comfortably while still possessing significant offensive power. With 380 HP, Mega Venusaur ex is one of the Pokémon with exceptional durability, making it difficult to defeat in a single attack. Its Solar Transfer ability also offers flexibility in energy management, while its Jungle Dump attack not only deals massive damage to opponents but also restores its own HP.

"These two Starter Decks ex not only offer a variety of playstyles but also open up more space for players to find the characters that best suit their preferences," added Andreas. As part of this launch, AKG Entertainment is also presenting the "Learn to Play Pokémon Card Games with Starter Deck ex" program, running from Friday, February 27th to Sunday, March 1st, 2026, at the Paperclip store in Kota Kasablanka Mall. This program is open to the public, with each session lasting approximately 40 minutes and requiring a minimum age of 8 years. After the learning session, participants will receive a "Mega Evolution" Booster Pack and a random Pokémon promo card from the Paldea region. This program is part of AKG Entertainment's commitment to continuously expanding access and education about the Pokémon Collectible Card Game for the Indonesian public.
