Official Announcement at Anime Expo 2025

At Crunchyroll's industry panel during Anime Expo 2025, held on July 5, 2025, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, an official announcement was made for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3. Along with the announcement came the release of the first teaser trailer, which was shared globally via TOHO Animation's YouTube channel on July 6, 2025.

This marks the first major update since the Season 2 finale aired on June 30, 2024. The teaser offers a glimpse at fresh visuals, reintroduces key characters like Rudeus and Nanahoshi, and ends with enticing cliffhangers that have sparked fan theories and speculation.

When Will It Air?

As of now, no official release date has been confirmed for Season 3. However, based on the show’s previous release pattern:

  • Season 1 aired across two cours from January to December 2021

  • Season 2 aired from July 2023 to July 2024

Season 3 is likely to air between late 2025 and early 2026, with a strong possibility of landing in early 2026.

Story Arc & Light Novel Volumes

Season 3 will pick up from Light Novel Volume 14, covering the Summoning Arc. This arc follows Rudeus, Nanahoshi, and their party as they travel to Perugius Dola’s floating fortress, where they aim to uncover powerful, mysterious magic.

Since Season 2 concluded the Labyrinth Arc (Volume 12), and Volume 13—which is more slice-of-life in tone—is expected to be featured early in Season 3, the adaptation should continue smoothly. The teaser also hints at the return of Eris Greyrat, who briefly appeared at the end of Season 2, suggesting she’ll play a significant role moving forward.

Production Staff & Visuals

The teaser reaffirms that Studio Bind will continue animating the series, with:

  • Ryosuke Shibuya as director

  • Saud Gonami and Sanae Shimada returning for character design

  • Yoshiaki Fujisawa as the composer

Given Studio Bind’s track record for high-quality animation and faithful adaptation, fans are eagerly awaiting the visual and narrative impact of Season 3.

Final Thoughts

Anime Expo 2025 has delivered a major update for isekai fans, especially followers of Mushoku Tensei. With Season 3 officially confirmed, a first look at the teaser trailer, and insights into upcoming arcs and characters, excitement is at an all-time high.

While the exact release date remains unknown, an early 2026 debut seems likely. In the meantime, fans can revisit Seasons 1 and 2 on their favorite streaming platforms—and stay tuned to Mushoku Tensei’s official channels for further teasers, visuals, and updates.
