Hailed as one of the sharpest swords in the world, Enma was once a sword owned by Kozuki Oden until it landed on Roronoa Zoro’s hand recently.

1. One of the Only Weapons That Harms Kaido

Kaido boasts as the strongest living being in One Piece through sheer invulnerability as nobody seems to be able to even make a dent on his nearly scarless body. Or at least, that’s how it should’ve been until Kozuki Oden managed to harm Kaido thanks to the ultimate strength and sharpness Enma unleashed in its full potential.

Forty one years ago, at the age of 18, Oden used Enma to slice two giant mountains in two. Additionally, Enma once clashed in a deadlock against Shirohige’s strongest weapon, Murakumogiri. Those two occurrences are testaments to Enma’s true strength as one of the only weapons that can harm Kaido’s impregnable body.

2. Wild Sword That’s Very Difficult to Tame

Enma’s reputation as one of the strongest weapons in the world gives more sound to its infamously bad compatibility with almost everyone that ever uses him, and Oden was once the only man who could really tame the sword.

When Zoro tried to slice through a tree with Enma for the first time, the sword made him cut a massive part of the nearby cliff instead. The sword will force the user to use Busoshoku Haki or Ryou, and it will forcibly unleash a great amount of power from the user to the point of being nearly impossible to control.

Tenguyama Hitetsu claims that Enma is not for the faint-hearted as it will drain the user’s entire Haki supply until their skin dries out, whereas those who manage to control their Haki very well will regain their energy from Enma’s blade.

3. Has Bigger Potential to Unleash

While Enma is already a powerful sword, it can still grow even stronger as proven by the fight in Onigashima when Kaido senses a bizarre Haki coming from Enma as Zoro unleashes Busoshoku Haki that turns the entire sword much darker, which ultimately injures Kaido with a permanent wound.

Hitetsu also claims that once Zoro can turn Enma into a permanently dark sword, he will increase Enma’s potential and strength level even further to the point of becoming the highest-class sword in existence.
