Actors and WWE wrestler Dave Bautista in Gears 5 adding a long list of Holywood actors’ involvement in video games. Before Bautista, we got surprised by the appearance of Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077. But those two names are not the first to land a role in video games. Previously, these actors already appeared in your favorite video games.

In this list, we intentionally write actors and actresses who appeared in video games using the motion-capture technique. Actors and actresses who “only” lend their voice in the video game will be put in another list. We also avoid characters that appear as their real-life counterpart in the video game such as Bruce Lee in UFC or Vin Diesel in Wheelman.

1. Rami Malek - Until Dawn

Before receiving his achievement as the best actor in Oscar due to his role as Freddy Mercury, Rami Malek once appeared in a horror video game, Until Dawn. Released exclusively on PS4 in 2015, this game tells about a group of a teenager who spend their weekend in a cabin on a mountain. While they’re having fun, this group realized that their friends have gone one by one.

In this game, Malek played as one of the teenagers named Josh. Player’s decisions in the game will determine Josh’s fate to live another day or not. There are hundreds of endings that you can get, so make sure you have to replay this game numerous times to get all of them.

2. Ellen Page (Beyond: Two Souls)

Ellen Page’s name got skyrocketed after playing in a prestigious movie, Juno in 2007. Next, Page also played in a few superhero films and tv series named X-Men and The Umbrella Academy. But Ellen Page will be remembered as the first Holywood actress to appear as a character in a video game.

Page played in a video game called Beyond: Two Souls as Jodie, a girl with supernatural powers. In this interactive drama game, Page showed her totality playing as Jodie. Taken from Holland.com, this game also showed in Tribeca Film Festival, an outstanding achievement for a video game.

3. Sean Bean (Hitman 2)

This actor often becomes a meme on the Internet because every character he played always dies, starting from The Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, Goldeneye, Equilibrium and many other. The character he played often didn’t survive until the end.

It looks like it has become an “tradition” for him. In Hitman 2, Bean’s character is one of the targets that Agent 47 has to kill. It looks like even in the video game, Bean’s character doesn’t stay long too.

4 .Terry Crews (Crackdown 3)

Even though he looks intimidated with his massive muscles, Tery Crews is one of the favorite actors in Holywood. This man is very flexible choosing a role, starting from The Expendables to comedy ones like The White Chicks. In addition, Crews also known as a hardcore who willingly spend his fortune and time building his own PC.

Remembering those things is not strange if Crews finally hit a role in a video game. Although Crackdown 3 didn’t get positive reviews, all people agreed that Crew’s appearances was very entertaining, looking at his love towards video games, it looks like we will see him landing a role in video games in the future. 5. Kit Harington (Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare)

If we’re looking at his role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones and his future plan to appear in the MCU as Black Knight, Kit Harrington surely familiar with action scenes. With his experience, a pleasant surprise for gamers when Harington landed a role in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

In this 2016 video game, Harington played as a villain called Salen Kotch. With the futuristic theme, players will face against Kotch’s army in space.
