ONIC Sanz’s celebration perfectly captured just how meaningful this MPL ID Season 15 victory was for the Landak squad. ONIC had secured the MPL ID S15 championship in dramatic fashion after taking down long-time rivals RRQ Hoshi.

It had not been an easy season for ONIC. Unlike their dominant runs in previous championship seasons, ONIC started MPL ID S15 on the wrong foot. At one point, they had even dropped to 9th place in the standings.

However, the team had turned things around, embarking on a journey of growth and refinement. Since Coach Yeb had returned as head coach, ONIC’s performance had gradually improved.

Their upward trajectory had peaked during the playoffs, where ONIC emerged as the most convincing team—starting from the play-ins all the way to the grand final.

Sanz, in particular, had delivered a standout performance. He produced countless clutch plays, helping ONIC turn the tides in critical moments, especially in the intense grand final against RRQ. It came as no surprise when he was named the Grand Final MVP.

Unlike in past championships, where Sanz had remained relatively calm and composed, his reaction this time was completely different. When ONIC sealed the 4-3 victory, Sanz was visibly overjoyed—shouting, jumping, and celebrating with unrestrained energy.

“Because we failed to win last season, and this season we really struggled to become champions. We really wanted to win, and that motivated us,” Sanz explained.

“It was a tough final. We were ahead, then RRQ turned it around and led 3-2. But we managed to bounce back, reset, and figure out how to win. Because we pulled it off, I felt so happy,” he added.

“I jumped around like crazy because I just wanted to get another ring,” Sanz concluded with a smile.
