Jujutsu Kaisen has become a popular anime since its first broadcast. Based on a manga which already has its own fans, the popularity of this anime immediately skyrocketed. And Gojo Satoru is one of the strongest and undefeated characters in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime.
He is so strong, the only way to defeat him is to seal him using a stronger seal. Many fans wonder why Gojo Satoru wears a blindfold everytime? This Jujutsu Kaisen anime character really attracts attention with the blindfold he wears.
Let’s check out the discussion below!
The Reasons Why Gojo Satoru Always Wear A Blindfold
One of the reasons why Gojo protects his eyes by wearing a blindfold is because his eyesight is too good. Basically, Gojo's Six Eyes is a cursed technique inherited from his family. This technique allowed him to see Cursed Energy in incredible detail. Because of this high vision, he feels tired easily if he doesn't use a blindfold.
Even though Gojo was able to avoid the impact of the damage by using the Reverse Cursed, of course this sorcerer also couldn't avoid the effects of his ability forever. So the blindfold functions as a protector that can reduce the intensity for him. Even without using the naked eye, Gojo can still carry out normal activities without having to open his eyes.
However, the situation would be different if he was dealing with cursed spirits or other enemies seriously.
Apart from the eye patch, Gojo has also been seen wearing sunglasses several times when he is dressed casually. Just like the black cloth he usually wears, his glasses are also specially made to reduce the effects of high-level vision from the Six Eyes.
The glasses have dark lenses that other people who wear them can't see anything. But for Gojo, of course items like this are a solution for him who still wants to look modern but doesn't want to be burdened by his super vision.
Not only that, there is another reason why the manga artist deliberately made Gojo wear an eye patch, namely to lighten his workload and that of the animators.
This is because the shape of Six Eyes' eye itself has been described as having extraordinary detail, where it has a pattern like a circular cloudy sky.
So, Gege got around this by giving Gojo a blindfold and glasses so that the mangaka could draw the character much faster. Indirectly, this also helps lighten the burden on animators who work on anime adaptations.
