During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kabuto revived hundreds of great and talented ninjas to hinder the Alliance. He revived former members of Akatsuki, the past Kages, and other great ninjas.

We all know the reason why Jiraiya is not revived with Edo Tensei, but do Kabuto decided not to revive these seven great ninjas?  Who are they, and what is the reason? Let’s find out!

1. Izuna Uchiha

He is the younger brother of Madara Uchiha and one of the first individuals to awaken Mangekyo Sharingan. He was the vice leader of the Uchiha clan so Izuna’s power is not to be taken lightly.

There are two reasons why Izuna can’t be revived to help Madara fight the Shinobi Alliance. The first reason, unlike Madara that survived for hundreds of years, Izuna’s corpse and his DNA may be out of reach.

The second reason is that Izuna gave away both of his eyes to Madara before he died. So even if he is revived, Izuna is useless on the battlefield.

2. Shisui Uchiha

Known as one of the greatest Uchiha members, but it seems like Kabuto doesn’t even bother to make an effort to revive Shisui. During the Jiraiya Edo Tensei flashback, Kabuto and Obito deiced that it will waste their time looking for the DNA of Shisui and Jiraiya.

3. Kisame Hoshigaki 

One of the Akatsuki members that died during the late part. Not just great at using Water release jutsu, Kisame syncs well with the Samehada sword and that allows him to fight at a high level.

But it’s difficult to revive Kisame via Edo Tensei since he died by letting sharks eat him near Kumogakure. Not just the dismembered body, Kabuto will have a hard time sneaking inside the area that belongs to an enemy.

4. Konan

Konan’s Dance of the Shikigami can definitely help Obito’s army in the Fourth Shinobi World War. But somehow, Konan and Yahiko were not revived with Edo Tensei following her death after fighting Obito in Amegakure.

Obito is most likely suspicious that Konan can reverse the Edo Tensei since she is the first to find out Tobi’s plan to use Akatsuki as a stepping stone.

5. Danzo Shimura

Although he heavily relies on the Sharingan implanted to his arm, Danzo is still a talented shinobi. Kabuto failed to obtain his DNA since Danzo died by destroying his body.

6. Sakumo Hatake

Known as “Konoha’s White Fang,” not just at his home village, but across the shinobi world, the father of Kakashi has a great reputation as a ninja. What is the reason of Kabuto for not reviving him with Edo Tensei?

Maybe the answer is similar to Kisame, Kabuto may find it troublesome to sneak into Konoha and look for his grave.

7. Might Duy

Guy’s father is not that famous and often mocked for being an eternal genin. But not many know that he can unlock the Eight Gate technique (although imperfect) and kill four of the Seven Ninja Swordmen of Kirigakure

If he is revived, his body will have unlimited power and that will make him a terrifying opponent, right?

But Kabuto may look down upon Duy so he chooses not to revive the eternal genin.
