TLID’s early exit from MPL ID Season 15 Playoffs has puzzled many. The reigning champions have faced a harsh reality—being sent home immediately in the play-ins stage.

They have looked dull and ineffective during this crucial phase, especially against ONIC, who have returned to their ruthless, dominant form—making them extremely hard to beat.

TLID have failed to put up a meaningful fight against ONIC. Across the four games played, they have trailed consistently. Even the single point they have taken in Game 3 has come via a last-minute split push, not through superior gameplay or control.

As a result, TLID have missed out on a spot at the Esports World Cup (EWC) and have lost their chance to defend their title, bringing their strong run from earlier this year to a halt.

Saint De Lucaz Opens Up on TLID’s Shortcomings

In the post-match press conference, TLID coach Saint De Lucaz has spoken candidly about what went wrong for his team this season.

He admitted that the problems have started early and have affected the entire campaign.

"The mistake has come from the very beginning. We didn't start well, we struggled midway, and now we've dropped off significantly. The main issue was that we didn’t maximize what we had early on and failed to fully adapt to the current patch," said Saint De Lucaz during the press conference.

TLID have now found themselves in a tough position. Due to their role as the selected Indonesian national MLBB team for both the 2025 SEA Games and the IESF World Championship, they won’t be able to change their roster any time soon.

Instead, the priority has become rebuilding internally and improving synergy. The hope is that this MPL ID failure has provided valuable lessons to help them grow stronger when they represent Indonesia on the international stage later this year.
