Good news for those of you who have been waiting for the next season of All of Us Are Dead. The popular Netflix series has been given a green light to have another season. Netflix Korea shared a poster for the upcoming season on its official Instagram account last Tuesday (7/6). 

Aside from the poster and the short trailer video, Netflix Korea also shared a video featuring the cast of All of Us Are Dead who expressed their gratitude. Aside from that, they also informed us that they’re coming back in Season 2.

So, how will the story pan out for Nam On Jo, Lee Cheong San, Choi Nam-Ra, Lee Su Hyeok, and the other survivors? Ahead of Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead, let’s check out some fun facts about the series. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

1. Season 1 Success

Season 1 of this series premiered in 2021, telling a story of a group of students at Hyosan High School who try to survive and wait to get rescued after a zombie virus broke out at the school. The series has been a major success since its premiere. 

Despite featuring new faces as the main characters, the series managed to soar and sit on the top most-watched non-English series on Netflix in 91 countries around the world for two weeks. 

In addition to that, All of Us Are Dead also managed to claim the top spot just one day after its premiere on 28 January 2021. This has helped All of Us Are Dead to become one of the Korean series to ever top the global chart after Squid Game, Hellbound, and Arcane.

2. Lee Cheong-San Will Make a Return

Despite what happened to Cheong San in the first season, he will likely make a return as he also appeared in a short video from the cast of All of Us Are Dead, where Yoon Chan Young, the actor, stated that he couldn't wait for fans to see the next season.

Aside from Cheong San, other members of the cast, such as Cho Yi Hyun (Choi Nam-Ra), Park Ji Hu (Nam On-Jo), and Lomon (Lee Su Hyeok) also shared the good news about the next season. Many fans are also still hoping for Chong San to reunite with his friends.

3. The Nightmare Is Not Over Yet

Along with the announcement from Netflix Korea, The Swoon stated that the zombie nightmare at Hyosan High School in the first season is not over yet. Mainly because zombies can't really die. "It's back to school time for Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, and Lomon in All of Us Are Dead Season 2. Coming soon on Netflix," the statement reads.

4. Storyline

Granted, there has been no specific leak regarding the storyline for the next season. However, if you follow the story from the previous season, the second season will certainly be no less exciting and tense. The open ending of the first season also hinted at the beginning of the second season of this series.

After several students are rescued and quarantined by the government, Choi Nam Ra turns into a zombie, then Lee Cheong San sacrifices himself for his friends, but there has been no confirmation regarding his fate. What makes it even more exciting is how will they live their lives after turning into zombies? What will happen to them? What will the survivors do to stop this zombie attack? All of Us Are Dead 2 will provide us with some answers to these questions.

5. The Success of the Entire Cast

Due to the success of the series, All of Us Are Dead has helped members of the cast gain popularity as lots of them get featured in other works since the first season ended. Park Ji Hu, who plays Nam On-Jo, has been confirmed to star in the drama Little Women, and Yoon Chan Young, who plays Lee Cheong-San, has landed a role in the new drama, Hope or Dope, for Season 1 and 2.

Cho Yi Hyun (Choi Nam-Ra) is confirmed to star in the remake version of the film Ditto, whereas Yoo In Soo will also play in Alchemy of Souls. Lee Yoo Mi is also ready to star in Mental Coach Je Gal Gil, as well as many other actors who have risen to fame due to the success of the series.
