The Swiss Stage of the M7 World Championship has entered round 3, where the fate of each team will be decided. Round 3 is divided into several categories: High (2-0), Mid (1-1), and Low (0-2). In the High category, the winning team advances to the Knockout stage, while in the Low category, the losing team is eliminated, and the winning team advances to the next round. In the Mid category, both the winning and losing teams advance to round 4, divided into High (2-1) and Low (1-2).

Indonesian representative Alter Ego will face Yangon Galacticos (YG), a team from Myanmar who defeated ONIC in round 2. Alter Ego's chances of advancing to the M7 World Championship Knockout stage are wide open if they defeat Yangon Galacticos (YG) and become the first team to advance to the Knockout stage. Defeating Yangon Galacticos, Alter Ego Advances to the M7 World Championship Knockouts

Alter Ego defeated Yangon Galacticos on Monday, January 12, 2026, opening the High (2-0) Round 3 of the Swiss Stage of the M7 World Championship. This match presented a significant opportunity for Alter Ego to advance to the Knockout Stage. With just one win, Nino and his teammates could become the first Indonesian team to advance to the Knockout stage.

Meanwhile, Yangon Galacticos (YG) had the same potential as Alter Ego. Their upset victory over ONIC allowed Yangon Galacticos to build positive momentum and achieve maximum results in their upcoming matches. Although YG defeated ONIC, Alter Ego remained undeterred. El Familia's quest to make history continued, and defeating YG was a must.

Playing against YG in Game 1, Alter Ego drafted Gatot Kaca, Leomord, Yve, Claude, and Sora. Meanwhile, Yangon Galacticos drafted Zhuxin, Guinevere, Karrie, Badang, and Benedetta. Alter Ego appeared to have the upper hand in the early game with their Turtle dominance. The battle for the first Lord was fierce, with Hijumee defeated by Alter Ego, who countered YG's attack and pushed them out of the Lord area.

With Lord secured, Alter Ego quickly attacked the YG base. Two YG players were downed, but Alter Ego didn't push themselves too hard. The game resumed, and another teamfight ensued in the mid area. Arfy managed to get two kills with his Claude, and even three. Alter Ego didn't waste the opportunity to attack the YG base. The two remaining players, Ying and Blink, tried to defend.

The game resumed. The second Lord fell to Alter Ego, and Nino and his teammates again tried to attack the YG base. Lord managed to force their way in, and a teamfight ensued in the YG base. Lord and Minions successfully attacked the YG base, but Alter Ego forced a stoppage, ultimately leading to the first game being won by El Familia. Alter Ego is one step closer to victory, advancing to the Knockout Stage of the M7 World Championship.

In Game 2, Alter Ego once again brought Freya Goldlane for Arfy, along with Yve, Kalea, Nolan, and Terizla. Meanwhile, YG used Kimmy, Fredrinn, Hylos, Claude, and Yu Zhong. Aggressive from the start, Alter Ego successfully put pressure on YG. Furthermore, Alter Ego secured a wipeout within the first five minutes. Nino and his teammates were unstoppable.

One by one, Yangon Galacticos' defensive turrets were taken down, and Alter Ego became increasingly aggressive. YG's maneuverability was limited by El Familia. A teamfight ensued in YG's base, eliminating two YG players. Alter Ego was one step closer to victory and advancing to the Knockout stage of the M7 World Championship. Lord successfully forced his way into Yangon Galacticos' base, while Al Ego was one step closer to the Knockout.

Lord successfully forced his way in, and YG players were eliminated one by one. Finally, Alter Ego completed their 2-0 victory over Yangon Galacticos. This victory made El Familia, Nino, and their teammates the first team, and the first Indonesian team, to advance to the knockout stage.
