Last season, they advanced to the Upper Bracket Semifinals after defeating Bigetron by Vitality. El Familia's progress could be considered quite smooth if they can defeat Natus Vincere and surpass Bigetron by Vitality to secure a spot in M7.

Exclusively with Dunia Games (DG), Alter Ego players and coaches discussed Alter Ego's chances of making M7. First, Hijumee stated that if they play freely, Alter Ego's chances of making M7 are quite high. "If we just play freely, our chances of making M7 are very high," Hijumee said. Meanwhile, Arfy added, "A chance (of making M7), right? We should be safe, hopefully. We're very confident about making it to the top 2," Arfy added.

Alter Ego's young jungler, Yazuke, further stated that they have a pretty good chance. Likewise, all other teams have a chance of making M7. "Alter Ego's chances of making M7 are definitely there, but I think every team has a chance, it just depends on how they maximize that opportunity," Yazuke explained. Finally, Xepher stated that Alter Ego's chances of making it to M7 are quite good.

However, he highlighted the relatively fragile health of Alter Ego's players. "Whether we have a chance (of making M7) or not, we'll have to see how the playoffs go. The Alter Ego players get sick very easily. To be honest, in the first 9 weeks, the first 3 weeks, the players were sick like they are now, which is very dangerous," he concluded.
