In early December 2022, Paramount Pictures shared the first trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Being the seventh film in the Transformers franchise, this film will not be connected to the previous Transformers films directed by Michael Bay. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be a prequel to the Bumblebee film released in 2018, which takes place in the 90s.

Now this film will also feature a number of characters from the Predacons faction who will be the opponents of the Maximals faction. Just like the Maximals, the Predacons also have forms that adapt from animals that initially lived peacefully after the Great War event. However, the animal robots who feel they are slaves to the Maximals actually unite to form the Predacons so that conflict between robots reoccurs.

Speaking of Predacons, here are some members of the Predacons who often appear in the Transformers franchise. Some of them are also rumored to appear in the film Transformers: Rise of the Beast. Who are they? Check out the following list.

1. Megatron (Leader)

Megatron is the leader of the Predacons. It has a scary Tyrannosaurus Rex mode. Even though Megatron from the Predacons and Megatron from the Decepticons are different, the main goal remains the same, namely to conquer Cybertron, where he is branded as a criminal. He also has a rivalry with Optimus Primal, leader of the Maximals. He then becomes Transmetal and then into Transmetal 2, where his monster mode becomes Dragon. And then he becomes Optimal Megatron at the end of Beast Machines.

2. Scorponok (Sub-Commander)

Scorponok is a member of the Predacons who is also one of Megatron's right-hand men. Scorponok adapted the animal form of a scorpion. He has the ability to create poisons and viruses that can be used to paralyze his opponents. One of Scorponok's actions that was shown was when he attacked his virus on Optimus Primal, which should have scared him, actually made him go berserk and caused Scorponok to die from falling into a lava pit. Scorponok actually appeared in the first Transformers film and Transformers: Rise of the Fallen.

3. Tarantulas (Intelligence/Special Operations)

Tarantulas are members of the Predacons which have a shape adapted from the tarantula animal. In Predacons, he is in charge of designing a program that will be used in waging resistance. Because Tarantulas are included in very intelligent robots and are the chief scientists at the Preadacons. In addition, Tarantulas also often participate in a number of battles between the Predacons and Maximals. The interesting thing about Tarantulas is that he is descended from Unicron, so he is able to take control of the Tigerhawk from The Vok.

4. Terrorsaur (Aerial Combat Specialist)

In the Beast War Universe, Terrorsaur is the most fearsome member of the Predacons. This is because Terrorsaur is a robot adapted from the ancient animal Pteranodon. So that he is very skilled in combat in the air. Despite being a member of the Predacons, the Terrorsaur has plans to overthrow Megatron as leader. This makes him very similar to Starscream in the Decepticons.

5. Waspinator (Decoy)

Waspinator is a member of the Predacons whose shape is adapted from a wasp. In a number of Beast War stories, Waspinator is often told to be torn to pieces but still alive. As a robot that has the shape of a wasp, Waspinator also has a very deadly sting. When it appears, the Waspinator always makes a very loud wing sound. So it is very suitable for bait into enemy territory.

6. Blackarachnia (Combat Specialist)

Blackarachnia is one of the female members of the Predacons who is highly skilled in combat. Robot that adapts the animal of a Black Widow spider. It was created by Tarantulas from one of the static pods owned by the Predacons. As a member of Pradacons, Blackarachnia falls in love with a Maximals member, namely Silverbolt. From there the love story between Blackarachnia and Silverbolt is intertwined. Until finally Blackarachnia joined Maximals.

7. Inferno (Sub-Commander)

Next is Inferno which is described as a member of the Predacons who adapted the form of a fire ant animal. He is also Megatron's trusted robot in carrying out the mission to defeat the Maximals. The uniqueness of Inferno is the way he addresses Megatron with the words "My Queen" or "Queenku", because of his loyalty to the leader of the Predacons. He was promoted to Sub-commander after Scorponok's death.

8. Rampage (Warlord)

Rampage or also known as Protoform X is the horrific result of scientific experiments conducted by the Predacons. As a member of the Predacons, he adapted the shape of the King Krab animal or king crab which is known to be cold-blooded and merciless. As a robot skilled in warfare, Rampage also doesn't know the term friend, so he can't be invited to cooperate either. He even often sneaks for his own purposes and tries to kill his boredom in a cruel way.  

9. Dinobot (Enforcer)

Dinobot is one of Megatron's favorite members in Predacons. Dinobot adapted from the Velociraptor dinosaur form which has the ability to fight on the front lines. But after Megatron lost the battle, Dinobot finally betrayed and finally joined the Maximals.

10. Tripredacus

Tripredacus is a combination of three Predacon Elders, namely Sea Clamp, Ram Horn, and Cicadacon. When Megatron could no longer maintain his position as leader of the Predacons, the Elders of the Predacons joined forces to become Tripredacus. Making it the largest joint owned by the Predacons faction.
