Anime & Manga | 05 August
Solo Leveling is one of the most popular Korean manhwa of the decade, ending last year after giving us an incredible 179 chapters. Ever since the D&C Webtoon series became popular, fans have been wondering if this manhwa will get an anime adaptation.
A few days after the release of the last chapter, several rumors surfaced on the internet that Solo Leveling did get an anime adaptation. However, at the time, there was no official statement from any animation studio or D&C regarding the same. Anyway, five months after this manhwa ended, we finally got confirmation that a Solo Leveling anime would be made.
On the second day of Anime Expo 2022, Aniplex, A1 Pictures, and Crunchyroll announced that an anime adaptation is currently in production. Solo Leveling will premiere on Crunchyroll, and will be released sometime in 2023. Unfortunately, the studio didn't give us an exact release date, but we have something else that might please you with information about this anime.
As it turns out, Crunchyroll has released a new teaser to announce the anime adaptation. The promo video doesn't have any clips from the anime and only features some amazing panels from the manhwa. DUBU, one of the original creators of Solo Leveling also shared this news.
A-1 Pictures will work on the Solo Leveling animation and Shunsuke Nakashige will direct. According to the announcement, Noboru Kimura is working on the script while Tomoko Sudo is in charge of character designs. Other than that, we don't know much about the anime's production, and the studio has yet to reveal the main cast of Solo Leveling.
Of course, everyone will be nervous to find out who will voice Jin-Woo in the series, but we'll have to wait a little longer for that answer.
