Even though the noughties has ended for some time now and there have been many shifts in the anime world throughout these years, there are many iconic shounen anime released during that period, such as Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. However, there are several Shounen anime that didn't gain as much fame as the three popular anime. Some of these old school anime from the 2000s deserve to be given the chance to be re-adapted into a new series with a new style.
On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to give you a list of the best anime from the 2000s that deserve a reboot. Without further ado, let's get into it.
Best Anime of the 2000s
1. Soul Eater (2008)
This anime, which is an adaptation of Atsushi Ohkubo's second manga, revolves around the metaphysics of the soul, mixed well with the gothic-style that features some of the best world-building and interesting power systems typical of a shounen anime. Unfortunately, this anime's ending is considered too hasty for most fans. Even though this anime was based on a great manga with even better narrative and battles that are part of the story arcs. This anime deserves a reboot to pay for the injustice of the anime's failure.
2. Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (2006)
This anime tells about an infant named Reborn who claims to be an assassin. This baby is the tutor of Tsunayoshi Sawada, a middle school student who's terrible at both his studies and sports. Tsuna easily gives up on anything. Reborn arrives to tutor Tsuna to grow up to be the boss of the Italian mafia of the Vongola family as he is destined to become their tenth leader. This anime didn't manage to animate the things that make the manga great, including the exciting battles and unique powers, which is why it deserves to receive a reboot.
3. Elfen Lied (2004)
This old school anime tells the story of Lucy, who is a Diclonius, a new special breed that isn't human, but looks like one. She has horn-like objects on her head and has the ability to control Vector. Vector is invisible telekinetic hands that allow a Diclonius to manipulate things in ways humans cannot. The series is very short with only 13 episodes in total. Updating the anime and completing the story of the manga, could be a great way to regain the attention of old fans and garner new anime fans alike.

4. Kekkaishi (2006)
This anime has a theme of Onmyoji, or spirits, just like several other anime of its ilk. The story follows two heroes/childhood friends, Yoshimura Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura, who are Kekkaishi. Kekkaishi are people who can create Kekkai, or square-shaped barriers, to confine and destroy demons. This anime has 52 episodes with a cliffhanger of an ending and a major arc not adapted since 2008. Many fans would be relieved to see the anime getting rebooted.
5. Rave Master: Groove Adventure Rave (2001)
Before Eden Zero and Fairy Tail, there was another series created by Hiro Mashima. This anime tells the story of the journey of a 16-year-old boy named Haru Glory who meets Elli, a girl who has lost her memory. Haru promises Elli to help her recover her lost memories along with his friends. He eventually set out on a journey to find RAVE and prevent the world from being destroyed. This anime will surely become another exciting series with compelling stories for anime fans if it gets a reboot.
