Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits Announces Its Season 2 in 2025!
The romantic anime Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits provides happy news by announcing its second-season anime adaptation next year.

The official Twitter/X account for the series Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits announced that the anime's second season is officially in production. A new visual teaser for the anime was released along with the announcement of the anime's newest season. Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits Season 2 itself is scheduled to air in fall 2025. Meanwhile, news regarding the cast and staff producing the anime has not been announced at this time. Midori Yuna, the original writer of the series, also posted a celebratory illustration on their Twitter/X account following the announcement.
The artist who drew the 2023 manga adaptation, Tsugaru Toba, also drew illustrations to celebrate the announcement of the anime's second season.
The first season of Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits was first broadcast in April 2018. Funimation also released the anime on home video format in 2019. Meanwhile, the original story comes from a light novel series written by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha, which was first released in 2015 with 12 volumes released in Japan to date. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Waco Ioka, began in 2016 with 10 volumes released in Japan. Then in January 2023, the newest manga adaptation began and was illustrated by Tsugaru Toba.
Yoshiko Okuda directed the anime's first season at Gonzo Studios, with Tomoko Kanparu handling the series composition, Yoko Sato on character design, and Takuro Iga handling the music. This anime aired for 26 episodes from April to September 2018.
This series' story centers on a student named Aoi who inherited the ability to see spirits from her late grandfather. Aoi, who is good at cooking, one day was feeding some farm spirits when suddenly the god and innkeeper Tenjin-ya appeared and took Aoi away. He said because of her grandfather's debt, she had to be his bride. Aoi doesn't like this idea and instead states that he will pay back her grandfather's debt by working at Tenjin-ya.
