The Love Story of a Genius Who Becomes a Private Tutor of A Quintuplet\

The Quintessential Quintuplets story follows a high school student named Futaro Uesugi. He was a genius student who excelled in school but was extremely poor. Futaro even had to struggle to buy his lunch because of the huge debt his family had to bear, making him suffer as well. One day, Futaro's father gives him a high-paying job to teach the daughter of a rich family, but Futaro doesn't know that this girl is someone he already knows and hates Futaro very much.

The girl in question is Itsuki Nakano, a student whom Futaro once insulted because Itsuki bought and ate one of the most expensive lunches sold in the school cafeteria. Now Futaro needs to make amends before Futaro's chance to pay off his family's debt is gone forever. In the end, Futaro follows Itsuki to her residence, where Futaro discovers something that changes his life.

The reason Futaro's job pays so high is because he has to teach not only Itsuki but also her four twin sisters Ichika, Nino, Miku, and Yotsuba. The quintuplet girls are in danger of failing to graduate from high school but none of them have the will to study, especially Itsuki. Now Itsuki not only needs to work on improving her grades, but she also needs to be able to get all her twins to take part in his tutoring lessons.

The Opening Shows Futaro Marrying One of the Twins

The Quintessential Quintuplets begin in the future when Futaro is about to marry one of these girls, but since they are quintuplets, it is not clear who the bride is. The scene gives us a mystery that is fun to solve as we try to guess who the final pair  will be as Futaro gets closer to the girls.

If you really understand all the characters, that's what makes The Quintessential Quintuplets fun to watch. Each girl has an arc dedicated to each of their  characters. This means that your favorite girl will definitely get a lot of attention too. There are episodes about the summer fireworks festival and school life, which makes this anime really enjoyable.

A Recommended Romantic Comedy Anime to Watch

As previously explained, the anime adaptation of The Quintessential Quintuplets was handled by studio Tezuka Productions (Black Jack, Dagashi Kashi 2) and the animation is quite good. The display is full of colors making it enjoyable to watch. The music was produced by Hanae Nakamura (My Next Life as a Villainess All Routes Lead to Doom), Miki Sakurai (Aggretsuko) and Natsumi Tabuchi (Castle Town Dandelion). The composition is good and leaves a deep impression.

The opening song for this anime series is "Gotoubun no Kimochi" performed by five Japanese voice actors for the quintuplet girl characters, while the ending is "Sign" performed by Aya Uchida.

In terms of voice acting, The Quintessential Quintuplets offers audio in Japanese and English. All the voice actors do their job well in their respective roles. The role of Futaro is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who is famous for his roles as Kirito in Sword Art Online and Yukihira Souma in Food Wars! or Shokugeki no Souma. Matsuoka voices Futaro with an enthusiastic and funny personality according to the character and storyline.

The Quintessential Quintuplets does provide its own excitement when watching it. The character development makes you nervous when you follow the storyline. The appearance of the characters with diverse personalities and also good looking with their respective characteristics allows you to choose one of the characters to be your waifu. Of course, while guessing who became Futaro's wife in the initial scene of the anime. This series is a recommended romantic comedy for you to watch.
